PICARD s3e6 "The Bounty"

More familiar faces, more familiar ships, and the show leaves a bunch of Moriarty chips unspent on the table.  Meanwhile, Matt and Andy's transformation into each other continues -- BUT WHICH ONE IS THE CHANGELING?

I haven't seen the end of DS9 (I quit as a teen, never went back, and now refuse to watch "new" Trek without Matt and Andy) - and as a result, I have no idea how the changeling thing works. BUT, my head canon from Worf's comment during the earlier interrogation scene led me to assume that the "great link" is a BIG thing of goo shit, so all the changelings are little pieces of shit from the great goo shit. Maybe if they're stingy with the pour when you separate, you can only pretend to be smaller people, but a big galoot like the one pushing Riker around got a healthy serving (?). Also confused, but figured I'd share an uninformed perspective on what can be inferred.

What was Riker referring to when he asked that changeling “how much of that goo shit did they pour in you?”

Long time listener first time commenter. May be an unpopular opinion but I really am finding this season mediocre at best, with mediocrity being a vast improvement seasons 1 and 2. Episode 6 was pure nostalgia-baiting at every turn to the point that it’s just overload. I also felt that they tried wayyyyy too hard to give Riker comedic effect and it just kept falling flat. The conversation about Picard with his son should have been with Geordi or Riker rather than Seven since she didn’t know him in her prime. Overall this season a vast improvement over one and two but good Trek it is not.
