The show went to shit. Everything is shoved in your face, from the "Ooh, it's Sousa" cameo to the "white privilege" moralizing 'humor' to the "he's strong" comment about Colson. Not only is the dialogue crap, they have an enemy that is supposed to be exacting, precise, predictive, and emotionless, but there's nothing scary about them, they're inept. The Chronocoms of last season were great, almost omnipotent manipulators but these guys seem like baddies out of Legends of Tomorrow. It actually feels like we're watching a CW third tier show except for the acting.

Seeing him definitely would've been more impactful if you'd seen the show, but I think he's still pretty good either way. I actually recognized him as one of the mob members in the first episode with Elias in POI. I totally agree with you about the chronicoms. I wish that they had done more buildup about them in Season 6, so that the fight to stop them in Season 7 carried more weight. While I like the actor who plays the main chronicom this season, I wish we knew more about him and the others. As you mentioned, villains like Ward and Aida just seemed to have more depth to them that really made you invested. It's great to see the team solving problems, but when there isn't a compelling villain, it feels like they are sort of going through the motions.
