I would highly recommend checking out the Berserk manga, much as I love the 90's anime and think it comes the closest to properly adapting it it still only adapts about a fourth of the story so far. You don't necessarily have to do reactions to it cause I know the vibe of manga reactions is highly different but if you did a review/discussion each volume or just popped in every couple volumes to chat about the series podcast style would be excellent. The Berserk series is so rich on characterisation, brutality, perseverance wrapped up in some truly beautiful artwork. Can not speak more highly of the manga, even if you just check it out in your own time I still wholeheartedly recommend it

2020-09-10 20:42:14 +0000 UTCHonestly the animation on that series grew on me after a few episodes. By the season 1 finale I was into it. Especially the battle there. I really like the 2nd season and wish they didn't stop

It picks up from episode 21 in the anime and goes through the end and past the events of the eclipse including the escape. It also includes a lot of cool things from the manga that the anime wasn’t able to fit in. Might be good for closure lmao
