There are worst Bond films in the series, no doubt but Quantum of Solace is the weakest film in the Craig Era. If there's going to be more 007 in the future, be interesting to see you and Cash react to Skyfall and Spectre, if you haven't already seen it. 2020-09-16 08:44:41 +0000 UTCThis a revenge film with Bond throwing himself into uncovering the mystery of Quantum and coming in terms with his grief over losing Vesper, a woman he really did love. Things are more morose and subdued then Casino Royale, which is fine considering he felt betrayed and heartbroken, but something felt missing that gives Bond films that magic like Casino Royale or GoldenEye.

Though it does leave something to be desired, the plot seems anemic, the characters like Camille and Fields don't get nearly enough fleshing out. Dominic Greene is a fine villain, slimy and venal capitalist with the facade of a environmentalist. Though just doesn't have the same presence that Le Chiffre or Mr. White had, a bit bland.

2020-09-13 00:16:58 +0000 UTCthe editing in this movie is just....horrendous. Gave me a headache after just 5 minutes when I watched it in the theater back then. The editing just butchered the entire film - which wasn't so great to begin with. But with decent editing it would've been at least watchable. Love Craig as Bond though. But this was a huge letdown after Casino Royale - my favorite Bond movie ever.
