i'm so glad i decided to rewatch and getting your take on the psychological aspects, I see how I miss it. The show is art in may ways. And since you've seen it, All I see on rewatch is: *Will stares* I'm a very good fisherman... :) . Such a brilliant show.

2020-08-03 08:06:41 +0000 UTCNice catch on the similarities between the Hannibal/Beverly and Will/Freddie encounters. Obviously the difference being Hannibal is a savage. Minor note, you seemed worried Will was going to show up while Hannibal and Alana were playing the theremin. Will already knows they are hooking up. He picked up on it right after he got out of the psych ward in 2x6-7. Alana asks Will if Hannibal is safe because Will tried to have him killed, and Will responds by saying "From me or for you?" Only in Hannibal do you get an imaginary five way orgy with a wendigo. I think part of that visualization represents Will knowing Hannibal and Alana are hooking up as well. Part of it is obviously him wishing Margo was Alana, but also how Hannibal's darkness (the wendigo form) is affecting all of them pulling strings from the shadows. Lastly I just have to applaud the writing for Hannibal asking Will to "slice the ginger" because it's hilarious. Cheers!
