The thing about Stephen Chow movies is that it's impossible not to laugh at key moments of the film. It would be the ideal choice for those no laugh challenges, even the most stoic person wouldn't be able to resist a smirk here and there. He's basically Hong Kong's version of Jim Carrey, able to go from infinite silliness to a dramatic scene on a switch. He also is very picky with whom he chooses to work with, so this is why you'll see a lot of the same actors in most of his films, as he'll stick with the people he likes working with. Another underrated gem he made ages ago "God of Cookery" is also another hilarious movie where he's a Gordon Ramsey clone in the film.
