# 1 because it’s fun!! 🤪 don’t need any other reason...but👇🏼
# 2 Learning to do this provides a way to learn how to be comfortable being uncomfortable 😁 gives you a lot of confidence with leaning, teaches you what your bike is capable of, you learn various levels of grip with your tires, understand how leaning causes motorcycle to slow down so you need to slightly increase throttle the more you lean in order to maintain your speed, great way to practice body position, your vision, staying relaxed, committing to a goal, this will be very confidence inspiring, by learning this you’ll know how much your bike can lean, how the timing of when and how much you move makes a difference in handling, you’ll understand the limitations of yourself & machine, what feels good or not by experimenting, etc. if you never learn how to do this or attempt to, you’ll never understand the difficulty and benefits it provides. Many people simply can’t do this or ever took a class teaching body position therefore prematurely say it’s pointless...giving an opinion about something outside your experience is just ignorant. Go practice and see for yourself. Set up a 40ft diameter circle and give it a try (ensure the location provides good grip, you’re wearing full gear, etc.) Obviously, lower body movement & knee dragging is 100% unnecessary for street riding and I don’t recommend doing this on public roads. In fact, if you followed behind me on the street, I hardly move my body at all but what you learn by practicing this is what is very beneficial. Additionally, if you’re going through a corner and mid-turn there’s gravel or water, you can immediately add body position aka take away lean angle of the bike, allowing the suspension to better deal with the obstacle, which is why it gives you better traction. That’s another reason why learning body position is useful👌🏼 Shut Up & Practice
