The actor who did the Simple Rick narration (Jeff Davis one of Harmon's closest friends and co-host of the Harmontown podcast) does a Sam Elliot impression, who you might know as the villain from Justified season 6.

The whole reason why people like that, is cos they watch shows like this to see weird, crazy awesome things they haven't seen before, so putting more of that stuff people came to see inside itself works for a lot of people, but with mortys mind blowers, cos it's not improv, they get that and it's still well thought out, well written stuff.
