100%. If I tell you to keep your hands off my kid, then keep your hands off my kid. Period. If you don't, then I'll do everything I can to make you regret it. I felt zero remorse for that character. He flat out refused to respect the parents wishes and he was given many chances to stop touching those children.

His reactions were significantly different, but is that a result of nefariousness or personality type and his shock at being challenged when he's "the King". Skip if you don't want political stuff: This is why I'm a voluntaryist. A government dictated school based on your residence's location does not allow people to move their children to other schools that "sell the service in the way that the buyers want". In a free market, Every parent that had an issue would either a. file a complaint and see a change in the staff/activity or b. take their kid to another school that suited them better. In New Mexico (and other states) we had a pedo thing associated with the Catholic church. The per capita instances of that scandal are DWARFED by public schools and the cover up is still going on.

It doesn't matter what his intentions were. Holden did the right thing. Because if he can't stop after he was asked to stop, it's a problem. If he would've said "I get it, I didn't mean anything by it, but I will stop because you don't want me to do it" then that's different. But if you ignore the parents...you should suffer consequences.
