The "technique" of her coming right back in on episode 1 was shown in this episode from what I can tell. Once she passed a "line" in the stairwell, the brother was there to say "Hiya" to her outie self who was turned on at that line. The outie was like "what the hell?" and went back in and as soon as she crossed the line became the innie which was, from the innie's perspective her going out and coming right back in. Trippy shit, but done well.
