FULL LENGTH HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE MOVIE REACTION

Were you (whether you admitted it or not) hoping for an owl at the age of 11? Because I sure as shit was 😂 Anything to get me out of my unfortunate childhood at the time. My younger years weren't kind to me. This series was a big escape and it was just so fun and incredible to imagine being a part of. I'm 34 years old now and while I still wish for an owl, I'm just extremely glad that I had such a remarkable series that was a big part of my childhood. Great times. Snuck out to all the midnight releases...

Natalia

i feel same sad as u that slytherin didnt win. Just because Dumbledore is horny on Harry. Disgusting.

Gwendo jin

I don't think they show it in the movies only the books but Dumbledore was a Gryffindor when he attended the school.

james james

This is amazing! Hope you can continue with the series. Also, Slytherin definitely got screwed over in the end there, Dumbledore making up points just to get Gryffindor to win is a pretty popular joke

Kay

You better do one a month Jimmy. Public outrage if not.

Mathew Zimmerman

R.I.P to Robbie LOVED Hagrid in the whole series my favorite character

james james

Honestly the third is the fan fav for a reason.

Pleasantly surprised by how much you enjoyed it. It has kids in it for gods sake! I had a great time listening to you be mad at Dumbledore for favouritism (a fair criticism, because really he could’ve awarded them before announcing a winner). Maggie Smith plays McGonagall and I’m pretty sure it is her in Sister Act! The second film is a bit darker, and if you decide to keep watching, you’ll notice it starts to age with the characters in terms of content.

Kim Carragher

you didn't recognize the great Alan Rickman (and his iconic voice) as Prof. Snape? Emma Watson as Hermione? And yes Prof. McGonagall is being played by Dame Maggie Smith, a very famous british actress, and she's also in Sister Act (she's also the mother of actor Toby Stephens - Captain Flint) Professor Quirrell is also Father Beocca from The Last Kingdom. John Hurt as Ollivander (from the wand shop) David Bradley - Filch is also Walder Frey from GoT There are going to be so many favorite actors of mine in this franchise.

yeah I read the first one in 1997 when I was 7 - I didn't know back then that there would be any movies, same for the next two. And then I just couldn't stop reading. I read them so many times - I even read them to my mother! 😂😂😂 I slept in front of a bookstore (many others as well) so that I could get my hands on the final book right when it came out. 😂 I have seen all of them in the cinema. It was so incredible - to see Hogwarts for the first time. And I still find it magical today. Of course nostalgia plays a big part in that. It's still great that you read the books - before or after. 👍

Ninaofthe90s

Oh and it's 'The philosopher's stone' Jimmy. Only in the US they named it 'sorcerer's stone' because apparently they thought Americans didn't know what a philosopher is. 😮🥴 But that's the original title. I still hate that they changed it.

Ninaofthe90s

I agree. I watched every one besides the first 2 in the theaters and the feelings i get because i grew up watching them is way different from watching a series as an adult that is already out and complete. I read the books after though because i didnt want to have expectations or problems between them and the movies.

This series means so much to me. When this movie came out in 2001 I was 11, just like Harry. I had already read the first three books by then, they were the only ones published at the time. And when I watched this movie in the cinema - it was the greatest thing I had ever seen in my life. 😁 Of course objectively it's not. But it's different when you grow up with it and read the books five million times 🤣 And I still recommend reading them. It makes the experience far better. Even though the books are better and it's very flawed I absolutely love this franchise, it has one of my favorite soundtracks and the fact that they basically got almost every famous English actor (Alan Rickman!😍) to be in this makes me so happy. You'll see in the later movies, the casting is so great. I hope you continue. ❤️ Even though watching this for the first time as a grown up... this could go either way 😆 but it gets darker (third one is my favorite)

Ninaofthe90s

The first 2 movies are kinda for kids but i think the 3rd movie until the end is where its really at.

Joseph LeRoy

Glad you had fun with this. I never really enjoyed the first 2 movies, even as a child, but the 3rd movie is where the series takes a shift and made me a fan. Hope you stick with this series, it'll be worth it

JD

Never in my life did I think I would see jimmy react to Harry Potter lmao

Light Yagami

I can’t believe you’re actually watching this. I have no idea if you’ll like it.

Kim Carragher

I guess I'm finally going to watch Harry Potter 🤣 I remember having a sleepover with some friends when I was a kid and we watched it. But I fell asleep pretty early on during the film and then never bothered to watch it again.
