A competitive wage with the private sector, factoring in additional benefits like provided housing & meals as well as health & insurance benefits. To put that in perspective in 1944; a loaf of bread cost .10 cents, a pair of blue jeans $3 dollars, one car tire $7 dollars, apartment rent $30 per month… With the high inflation costs in the modern era, it’s frustrating to understand why youth now can’t afford to buy a house much less a brand new car.

2024-11-15 15:50:24 +0000 UTCPlease guys when you are finished this absolutely fantastic show...please watch the documentary called we stand alone together...its the accompanying doc to band of brothers so the full interviews with the real soldiers at the start of each episode is in that documentary...every reactor that I've seen watch band of brothers have all watch that documentary afterwards it's excellent and gives you a real insight to easy company and their campaign through WW2. You're really gonna enjoy band of brothers truly one of the best shows ever made.
