Thank you for explaining about the orange flag! I feel so sorry for your next door neighbour! I bet he was such an interesting man to speak to RIP. It’s awful he had to witness his mum and sisters getting murdered! We can’t even imagine! I’m so so glad he got his revenge!

2025-01-12 21:11:19 +0000 UTCOrange is the national colour of Holland...eindhoven was under national occupation for 4 years i think and conditions were horrible...eindhoven was the 1st city to be liberated by the allies on the 20th of September 1944....my next door neighbour was a Dutch resistance fighter during that time he has passed away a few years now and he told us his story and showed us amazing photographs from back then..he seen his mother and 2 sisters murdered in front of him by the nazi's....he joined the resistance and went on a revenge spree blowing up railway lines to disrupt transport and eventually killed the nazi officers that killed his family....insane stories he told us.
