I'm sorry but It was so satisfying to see Alicent lose her position of power and influence over the men she thought she had control over. Tywin Lannister said it best "I don't distrust you because your a woman. I DONT TRUST YOU BECAUSE YOUR NOT AS CLEVER AS YOU THINK YOU ARE". Alicent came across so much more competent in the books and in the show they've just shown how utterly incompetent she is. She now knows she is fighting to keep a Throne she doesnt deserve nor her son yet she's still preaching patience and Restraint. Criston Cole is right that ALICENT is not the Leader they need nor does she deserve any role in the Council because she's yet to actually contribute to their cause

2024-07-16 04:33:18 +0000 UTCJayce is a young man who has a lot of responsibility but is also unsure of himself and testing his own abilities. He wants to be making moves but he’s still inexperienced and probably questioning himself. I think the actor is doing a good job of portraying that sort of *young guy trying to act more mature than he is* vibe. I think this might be why he bothers you, which is fair enough. Personally I like the performance. He’s slowly starting to get more bold and confident and I’m interested to see where he’s going.

2024-07-16 04:02:01 +0000 UTCJust to be clear you are not wrong for saying Aegon is awful. I personally just really enjoy his character and I’m kinda weirdly rooting for him. You value competence in a character above pretty much everything, which I like about you and your reactions. I enjoy that you can really like characters that aren’t “good guys” in a way most reactors don’t. Personally I kinda enjoy fuck up characters in stories when they are written in a compelling way. It makes me want to see them grow. Aegon is the prime example of that. He’s an awful person but he is complex and feels like he has the ability to be redeemed. He could also just get even worse, which could be fun in its own right. Not saying I want him to win or anything. I most certainly don’t want Aegon to be king, but I want him to have a satisfying arc as a character.
