Jim's revenge was f* delicious Everyone BUT Deangelo was good I'd like to temper something I expressed in a previous comment. At some point in certain American comedy (maybe the late '00s), I noticed a trend that greatly incensed me: being undignified and making a fool out of yourself was funny in itself. You can get away with that if you combine it with flair (Jim Carrey), but usually not. Will Farrel, despite his occasional funniness, is to me the incarnation of this "Haha, I'm putting pancakes on my head, laugh at me" manufactured humor. And when you combine it with a large, rugged-ish man to try to amplify it, it looks even worse. NTY. I'll try not to pester you good folks with this personal annoyance anymore (no promises.) Will Farrel is everything wrong with this world and he triggers an inner demon like no other. (but Deangelo running out of the room yelling, 'yesyesyesyes' to get the final word was kind of funny)

2024-07-17 17:18:30 +0000 UTCYeah, I’m the biggest office fan in the world - but in my opinion the show becomes actively bad starting in season 8. It doesn’t take anything away from the previous 7 seasons, still my favorite comedy of all time. But I always skip 8 and 9 save the finale when doing a rewatch. I feel like it will be especially bad with Jimmy bc there are so many storylines that he dislikes or doesn’t care about that become major plotlines in season 8 and 9

He hates Jim and Pam so season 9 is going to be brutal despite it being their best storyline since season 3 and season 8 is just bad and hard to watch. Reaction viewership always falls off a cliff at this point.

The ending is great and worth getting to once, but acting like season 8 isn't absolutely horrendous is just lying. It's equally as boring as TV comedies from today for the majority of episodes here on out.

Obviously it’s not the same without Michael as he was the main force of the show, there’s some episodes that are pretty weak in comparison to former episodes but you’ll still get plenty of comedy and drama. The Office from here on out is still better than most shows you’d see today

2024-07-17 06:09:14 +0000 UTCif nothing else, the show is worth sticking out for just to see the ending and where everyone ends up and the character growth. thankfully there's more to these last seasons than the finale. there's still lots of fun moments in between. a couple of my favorite dwight and jim moments are still to come. it's definitely worth watching the entire series at least once!

2024-07-17 02:12:12 +0000 UTCi hope he continues on and finishes the show. Sure its not quite as good as before but I never felt like the show became bad necessarily. There are still great episodes/moments/arcs throughout that make it worthwhile in my opinion.

I usually don’t leave comments like this but I just want to make sure you know what you’re in for. I know others will probably feel different but I honestly wouldn’t even mind if you dropped the show here, watched a recap of 8-9 and then reacted to the series finale 😂 if you wanna try and stick it out though then more power to you
