Wanted to add another comment to say that, in my opinion, one of the most interesting things about this show (and Mike Flannigan's other horror shows) is how it utilizes both the realistic and the supernatural/scary. This has been the case since the first episode. We get that story from the woman whose husband died, and she talks about how she has been seeing his ghost. And we think that we're going to see it the whole episode, and then...no. It turns out that there's an entirely reasonable explanation. Same for the boy who is scared of seeing his grandmother at the wake. Sometimes it isn't so clear-cut, and then other times there's obviously something weird happening, like the bit at the end of this episode where the porch lights flash in the model house. A lot of what the characters experience isn't because of something supernatural, but instead very realistic things. The show doesn't present it as being just one or the other, but both aspects are at play. At least, that's how I read it, and for me it makes it more interesting.
