imo, the Castlevania seasons intentionally have a slow build at the start, into really wild episodes in the latter half. I've never been bothered by the pacing bc I think it all comes together very well, but when compared to the way the first season was paced I can understand the feeling. But rewatching is also very satisfying, there are so many little details that set up character arcs/future plotlines.
