Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

What a fun, charming, adventurous, and magical movie.  They don't make them like this anymore!

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

Comments

In the scenes where the actor's faces were near the snakes, there was actually glass screen in between them

Fun Fact: The scene where Indiana Jones has a "shoot out" with the guy with the fancy saber moves...its pretty comedic right? This was actually supposed to be a sword fight. Harrison Ford came down with dysentery (look that up) and was rather sick, so they decided instead for him to just shoot him, incidentally making that famous scene. Edit: I see now someone in fact already covered this, but since I added slightly more info, I left my comment.

You may have also recognized Sallah's voice because it's the same actor who played the role of Gimli in Lord Of The Rings.

LOL, well they didn't show it! That's a cool story about Ford on that scene. Sounds familiar too I think I may have heard of this. I wonder how that scene would have played out though. At the end of the day, working smarter not harder won the day ha. Also I like the well thought comments and appreciate them, don't ever apologize!

It's great that you were finally able to watch this! A few comments: Nice meme reference at 2:25 :) That's pretty impressive that you recognized Alfred Molina that quickly! It took me several rewatches of both this movie and SM2 before I knew that was him. 1:21:20, Your dejected "aw, it didn't show how he died" when the big guy Indy was fighting with died might just be the funniest thing I've heard/seen on a reaction video LOL Also, at 41:35, it's funny that you said you don't know if you're seeing Indiana or Harrison Ford, because Indiana shooting that swordsman was improv from Harrison Ford. It was supposed to be a long fight (which honestly sounds pretty cool), but Ford was sick at the time, and not feeling it, so he just decided to shoot him and Spielberg rolled with it, because it would've taken 3 extra days to shoot the fight scene. It's pretty bittersweet, actually, because the swordsman had trained for months for that fight that never happened haha Sorry for all the random comments, but I love this movie! I hope you enjoy the others :)

The two main cast are not famous there are quite a few character actors in it who have been on a lot of shows, its a good show if u like things like Fringe or xfiles

Richard Rear

I can’t give me a sec to watch them. It’s gonna be fun!!

Snacks

Who is starring in it??

Temple Of Doom, my personal fav…🙋🏻‍♂️

Doubting Thomas

there is a great tv show called warehouse 13 which is all about the warehouse where the store to ark and other artifacts, not a bad show to watch, maybe not to react to but anyone on here who is interested

Richard Rear

was going to ask that, the next two are also great, i would even go as far to say the last crusade may just top the lost ark but only my a smidgen

Richard Rear

Great to hear! Temple of Doom next :)

have not watched this in years, was so great to sit down at watch it again with someone who has never seen it before

Richard Rear

Yeah, Lawrence Kasdan, much better screenwriter than George Lucas. Lucas is a phenomenal "idea/concept" man, but if you let him write the scripts, you get Star Wars Episode 1 and Episode 2 - i.e. lots of convoluted tax and trade policy discussions and awkward and uncomfortable teenage romance dialog... 😉

Calu

LOL, didn't realize that about the animals until you mentioned ha! Also that's a cool detail, I did notice a lot of shared resource and also some of the names looked familiar, like the writer for empire strikes back is the same for this one and of course Lucasfilm and lots of the other familiar names

That was great Sarah! One of my all time favorite movies. 😃 Loved how you were more concerned about the monkey, the snakes and the rat than the people 😂 Interesting tidbit: The canyon near the end where Indy threatens to blow up the ark, is the same canyon where Obi Wan (Old Ben) Kenobi finds Luke Skywalker for the first time in Episode 4.

Calu

Classic!! This was movie magic.
