Thanks! the alternative version didn't really fit the initial idea I had for the drawing but when I drew it, I knew I wanted to keep it somehow, so I decided to keep to the other version =D. I thought it had a really "comanding" look in a way =)

I love this piece so much I need to comment on it again, especially after getting all the different versions! The way the light plays on the muscles of her stomach is simply ASTOUNDING! It looks so real, we really get a sense of the strength she has, even when lounging back a bit. I really REALLY wish there was a print of this I could buy and hang on my wall!

yeah I saw a few inconsistencies when looking at references of her. So I tried to make something that would appeal to both people who are not familiar with her, and those who are but still forgive a few minor differences from the canon version =D

There are always a few difficulties with drawing Dejah Thoris. She is a Martian princess. Because of who she is and where she is from she is usually topless (canon), but wearing lots of metal jewelry. She has red skin. She has no navel. This leads to general observations from the "Barsoom-challenged" of sexism (yeah, that's Burroughs for you), poor color balance, and anatomy problems ("Yo, where's her belly button?". "She hatched from an egg, you ignorant #$#!!"). I think this version will satisfy all parties (or at least leave them wanting more). I certainly love it.

Wow, that's good! She's not usually my favorite character because art of her is almost always very passive and kinda submissive. But she looks so badass in your art! I love it!

The whole composition was great to work at. I usually add wrinckles and small skin details to my drawings but I always feel like tights are left a bit behind. In this case, there are small areas being pushed (like the area behind the knee) that usually are not represented. And since the legs are a big part of this drawing I really wanted to make them seductive. The initial version of the image didn't have shadows on her face. But them I remembered Evelynn's picture and how it gave her a "seductive" look so I thought in this image it would be good as well, to balance out with her agressive look. I have to say I underestimated the time it would take to make her jewelry/armor. I thought it would be fast since the areas are relatively small, but it took me well over 4h to make all of them lol. But yeah, I have to say I'm really happy with the pin-ups. I think they have subtle improvements over the previous ones, but are still in my own style.

Thank you, glad you liked her! Not only with this image, but with Mary Jane as well, I'm really happy with how the composition worked out. I'm trying subtle changes in the process of coloring and overall building up the image. And I'm really liking the results =)

Yes, theres definitely some Azshara feels to her. While Azshara is a bit more seductive, this one is a little more agressive =D

Thanks! Usually casting shadows is not a big deal, but this time around it was casting shadow in an unregular surface and I also wanted to enforce that light bloom on the scene as well. So it was a really interesting work to do!

What a fantastic painting. If I did not know any better I'd say this piece is the perfect playground to work with light and shadow. I think here is a lot to see and how light behaves on certain surfaces. Great work with the skin textures making them appear very smooth. Well done once again.

Oh wow! I was very eagerly anticipating this painting and that excitement has been completely vindicated 😍😍😍😍😍. Starting off, I love the colours here, the pinkish hues of the sky as well as the curtains that frame it, with the red, purple and pink colour tones surrounding Dejah all look gorgeous. The red, purple and gold throughout give this really luxuriant, extravagant feel to Dejah and her environment, and I love the way her warm skin tones are set at the centre of the cool-toned stone. The level of detail here is absolutely insane! There's no way I can go over it all individually, so I'll try to group together what I like 😄. The fabrics of the curtains and that pink cloth flowing from between her thighs are all terrific, the folds are beautifully rendered and in the case of the pink material, the way it drapes over the edge of the stone looks great. I love how the purple cushion is pressed into by her voluptuous booty, while the patterns throughout the red fabric, conforming to the shape of the stone underneath is very well done. The gold jewellery across her body looks fantastic, the tones of it, the way the planes are defined, the metallic shine, the way it wraps over her body, all of it is brilliant. A couple of my favourite areas are the parts wrapping around her calves, as well as the beaded necklace that falls between her breasts. Her skin and anatomy is just... sensational! I really like how her face is left in shadow while her body is well-lit, the contrast is great and leaving her face darker like that adds an extra bit of allure to her, a sense of mystery that makes her all the sexier. With her anatomy, I adore her shoulders and the way her breasts wrap up towards them, the fingers of her hanging hand look fantastic with their planes defined. Her breasts are gorgeous of course, as is the hint of her stomach just above her thigh. Her legs themselves are phenomenal 😍😍😍! The rounded shapes of her bum wrapping towards her thighs as they rise, their centre sensually teased, with the forms of her voluptuous thighs so well rendered is amazing. I especially like the detailing of her knees and how they transition down to her calves. And her right calf being pressed into and thus being bigger on one side is such a great detail. Absolutely stunning work! The intricate detail, vibrant colours, sensational lighting and pure sexiness of the whole piece are magnificent!
