King Dodongo - preview
Added 2018-02-18 23:34:19 +0000 UTCHry everyone. Taking a tiny break from drawing pretty ladies and doing a little throwback by drawing a Zelda scene.
A few years ago I drew link against Gohma, and decided to make a sequence to that drawing by moving on to the next boss on the list. I was really amazing back then to see the scale of that boss and deperately trying to grab those bombs from the ground and throw at his mouth before he used his fire breath.
Well, ocarina of time will always have a special place in my memory, so I hope you guys like this one when it's finished =D
PS. Unfortunately I couldn't stream today due to a small internet issue, but will do tomorrow!

2018-02-21 19:40:31 +0000 UTCThanks! One thing that I really liked back then was the scale of the bosses. I enforced a lot the idea that you were a small kid facing them. Funny enough, link is kinda the supporting character on this type of image

2018-02-19 00:26:25 +0000 UTCBlimey! King Dodongo has never looked so epic! 😄 I love the angle of this piece as well as the scale of it, Dodongo looks incredibly badass and menacing here. I really like the rendering of his spikes and claws and how you've defined the plane changes there, I also love his right arm, how it's twisted inwards and how his fingers protrude forth at an angle. And if course his face, mouth and eyes look marvellous, I especially like the way his teeth are attached to him with no overlapping lips. The light hitting his face on his right side with each side of him in either light and shadow gives a great contrast and sense if atmosphere. Amazing work so far, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this finished
