Brigitte Lindholm

Hey guys, finished Brigitte!

Was really interesting to draw a character that is both "cute" and strong (physically speaking) at the same time.

So I wanted to create a body that would fit the character, but still make her face and overall posture imposing ... and cute lol. Definitely an interesting body type to work with for a change =)

Hope you guys like it!

Her body is a lot more interesting in the other version, since all her hips/belly/torso is not covered =D. It was definitely interesting to create a more "fit" body, considering that I usually opt to keep the muscle definition to a limit. The background I wanted to have enough details but not so many elements to the point that they become noise instead of just a background, so I focused on the overall sharp angles and textures in contrast to her body that is a lot more vivid. All in all it was definitely a cool drawing to create =D

The idea did sound like a challenge and has been executed nicely into an amazing looking piece of art.

Beautiful work here, as ever, your attention to detail is so impressive. The background here is fantastic with the textures on the walls and frame on the window, both with those frayed and worn pieces of metal, everything fits into the surroundings so well, even the little note stuck to the wall beneath the window, casting it's own shadow. Another fantastic touch is how you've done the rays of light that shine in, shown best to the left of Brigitte's raised, right arm. Brigitte herself looks amazing, her warm skin tones here are gorgeous and the darker tones of her hair and shadow-shrouded arms, face, chest and her vest stand out distinctly against the bright lights behind her. As ever with your work, her hair is so intricately detailed and her anatomy is fantastic, the way the light and shadow interact to define the plane changes of her muscles is incredible, I especially love her bending, right elbow and the way the muscles of her shoulder connect to her chest. Her stomach looks fantastic, especially so with her right flank being in shadow, while that stronger light shines onto her front, the contrast between light and dark is very striking, while showing off her forms so well. Her clothes are terrifically done too with their own unique textures and feel to them, I really like how thick her overalls are, shown most by the red strap wrapping up over her left side. The folds in the material are so well done, particularly with the brighter rim-light at her left hip, as well as in the white section of the material as it collapses forward at her right. And it must be said, the way the right strap falls forward, showing off the bare contours of her waist provides quite the appealing tease 😉. Fantastic work on this one, I was definitely eager to see your version of Brigitte and as always, you do not disappoint 😄
