"Slave Iris"
Added 2021-04-23 22:53:20 +0000 UTCHey everyone, here's the finished version of Iris in her "Slave Leia Cosplay" =D. For those of you not aware, I'm doing my OCs (Iris and Maya) with Star Wars theme in celebration of May the 4th coming soon.
Had a lot of fun with this one. I thought it would be fitting for her to have a more dominant pose and attitude. Kinda like "so, you think you can handle it? ;)"
It's always fun to make Iris images, because it's possible to do her being a cutie and goofy, but also she can be both super femme fatale and it works =D
I tried to be as faithfull as possible to the original costume, and just changed some minor details of how the "joints" of the costume are handled. And I thought it would be really fitting for the scene to have really warm colors ;)

Thank you! It's something that I think it's important, is that even if the scene is more simple, it's important that is has areas of interest and detail. In the recent images I tried out a few different things in terms of textures and how to create materials that's been working really well. it's possible to add a lot of depth to even a simple wall. One thing that I really loved about Iris more recent images is the body and her expression. And funny to think that the long hair fitted REALLY well on her. There's a lot of things that can be done with it that are super sexy. Even a braid that doesn't really appear much, gives an air of elegance. Also I absolutely love how she looks. I always liked the visual kit of Iris, but on those last drawings I think it all came together and she's really really sexy on them. =D And the bottomless variant indeed looks really nice, I give you that lol

Truth is, sometimes a simple pose works best =D and one thing that those simple poses allow me to do, is to have more focus on the details of the characters =D

2021-04-23 23:20:26 +0000 UTCI always love seeing Iris and seeing her in colour brings me an extra hit of joy, getting to see her beautiful blue and green eyes ππ Something I like here is that although the scene is quite simple with Iris standing in front of a wall, you still got a tonne of detail in that wall. It's got texture all throughout it and the blending of colours and how the light washes across it is just great πΈ Iris herself is of course just perfect! π»π»π»π»π» I love her overall warm colouring, with those pale, cool coloured eyes really standing out, I can't help but be captivated by her gaze ππ Her hair is very well detailed and I do enjoy all of the little strands breaking away and curling. The textures and materials of her outfit are gorgeous, the chain has a really nice shine to it and I love the detail in the shadow it casts onto Iris and the wall. The golden shine of her necklace, arm bangle and metallic parts of the bikini are all so well done too. The metallics are even quite different, with the gold trim on the bra bring very different from the other gold parts of the outfit. The bracelet and golden belt are especially impressive with the intricate detail on the patterns and how the wrap around the overall shapes of the bracelet and belt. I really like the rough, worn texture of the green bra cups too and the light and shadow define their shapes very well as they wrap over her breasts. The cloth between her thighs is gorgeous too with it's folds and the real sense of weight as it's pushed aside by her thigh and then collapses between them. And of course Iris' skin and anatomy are beautifully painted! The warm colouring is gorgeous and I do notice this little bit of a cool tone mixed into some shadows, such as on her right shoulder, that act as a nice contrast. I love the definition of her features, her thighs are exquisite with the lines of light running through them blending out into the neutral skin tones and then darker tones on edges, all while having this sense of texture. I love how you do it, making the blending look smooth, painterly and realistically textured all at once, it's very impressive! And of course the rest of her body, her shoulders, arms, breasts and abs are all perfectly done too! I am in love with her midsection which just looks so sexy, with the dimples where her fingers press against the skin being a great detail. Lastly there's her face which I'd just beautiful π»π»π»π»π» I've already gushed about her eyes, while the lighting looks so nice with her jaw also receiving that subtle blue tone in the shadows, contrasting with her warm skin tones. The definition of all of her features is wonderful and her textured red lips and cute nose are lovely too! Absolutely sensational work on this piece! When I saw the WIP, I was so excited to see the finished work and goodness knows, you do not disappoint! πππππππππππππππππππππππ I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to reward files π A bottomless variant would be so supremely sexy π»π»π»

You managed to pack a ton of personality into a relatively simple pose, which I guess comes with the territory when you've drawn a character a bunch of times and you know their personality really well. But again, much like with that Samus drawing, the level of detail here is crazy. My brain can't figure out if it wants to be in "Art admiration mode" or "holy shit she's gorgeous mode." Excellent work yet again.
