This isn’t about Star Wars, imagine searching for a movie and playing the first thing that’s comes out, not just once. Imagine focusing all the attention on sam and Frodo scenes unable to see anything but romance. Then while completely clueless be confused by something that was explained seconds ago, that happened every 5 minutes

Neither tolkien nor Jackson intended for that to be the case. Tolkien meant to put forward a rare deep, faithful, and heroic display of "philia" love (brotherly love). That might be a spoiler of some kind, I do not think it is, but if you think it is, sorry. I just think that you may be able to enjoy the last two movies better and and get more out of their relationship if you don't have that lingering in the back of your mind 👍
