2025 Post Mortem

2025 is coming to a close, and you know what that means? POST-MORTEM TIME!

This year I had finished 4 comics, two of them being chapter 6 and 7 of Bun Bash and the others being installments of Stacy & Company! Quite the productive year considering last year I’ve only gotten 2 comics done! It helps to have had some helpful hands on these projects! Big thank you to my friends who have been so kind as to help me with some of the grindy work!

I’ve read through these comics and figured I’d give my thoughts months after having made them! A year in review!

Bun Bash Chapter 6 - Push-Ups!

The 6 chapter on my ongoing series! This chapter was actually something I had planned earlier in the series, but I was waiting for the right place to put it. It’s somewhat of a filler episode but also made to establish a bit about the buns in this world!

At this point I was still trying to find my footing with this series, unlike the other serial comics I made that didn’t really have a timeline, I wanted to take my time with this one and make sure this story, as well as the art direction, was going in a direction I was happy with! I’m still establishing some concepts, but I didn’t want to fully commit to them just yet!

Bun Bash Chapter 7 - Ruth

Hopping off from Chapter 6, I thought it was time that I locked in and gave a little taste of who Ruth was. This chapter was kind of a challenge to write. Ruth’s backstory took me a very long time to figure out and even now there are still bits and pieces that I’ve yet to learn yet. She’s a mysterious gal who doesn’t like talking about her past, so it’ll take some time for her to open up! That said, it felt so good to draw her again after several chapters focusing on other characters!

Intermission

After Chapter 7, I wanted to step back and actually give myself some time to think. I’m exploring well outside my comfort zone to tell a story that I truly care about, and I don’t want to make the same mistake that I made with past comics and keep making chapter after chapter without knowing where I’m going with it - having no roadmap, no time to do pre-production. Even after 10 years of making comics, I still…kinda don’t know what I’m doing? But with each chapter I learn something new! And I know better now.

So at this point in the series, I’m calling this the end of “Volume 1”, a pilot run. I have 5 chapters of script written out for Volume 2, and come 2026, my bnuuy syndrome will be terminal.

Stacy & Company: Let’s Collab, Bro!

Stacy & Company is a comic that just…happens when I least expect it. It’s a series where I just reach into my toy box of OCs and smash them together for several pages. But this story was something that meant a little more to me than the usual smut that I put out - a story about anxiety being vulnerable. Stacy & Co has always been a hyper-indulgent fuckfest, but I also wanted it to be a wholesome and sex positive story. It’s a theme that I always had running in the background of these comics (even the extreme ones like Tap Out), but this one I wanted to be a little more explicit with that message.

Enter Noah, a self-conscious twink with a hyper-confident online persona! In a way it reflected a lot of the anxieties that I had being an online persona myself. It was somewhat of a cathartic story and it meant so much to hear that people got the same feeling reading it! Also it was the first boy-on-boy comic that I’ve ever made so we’re making history here!

Stacy & Company: Stocking Stuffed

There’s not much to say about this one! I am very bad when it comes to keeping up with holiday art. I don’t have the most festive personality. I barely even give much fanfare to my own birthday lol. This comic was actually very impromptu. The idea came to mind shortly after Thanksgiving. And the comic was going to be MUCH longer - like twice as long, but due to time and self-preservation, I cut it down to 26 pages, which is still plenty to get the message across.

It’s been a while since I did an Oakwood romp, and after this comic, I think I might do more in the future!

So what’s next?

I’ve touched on this when talking about Bun Bash, but my primary goal in 2026 is to focus on Bun Bash! I spent the better part of fall just working on writing for the next several chapters. Now that I have the entire arc planned out, hopefully the production will be smoother! I won't give away too much, but t this will be the start of Stigs's journey proper!

[When] Do you plan to draw X in the future?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions I get. When will I make this comic? When will I draw these OCs?

Every year I have 1 or 2 primary goals that I actually plan for. Anything that happens outside of those goals is spontaneous! So I can’t really promise anything unless I officially announce it. So to answer that question, I don’t know; we’ll see!

I’ve been going at it for 10 years now. When I first started my Tumblr blog back in 2016, I didn’t think this would be something I would pursue as a career, but I’m grateful that I have. I’ve learned so much as an artist, made so many wonderful friends, and I’m so thankful to be able to work on my dream projects full time! Thank you all for supporting me for this long. Your support is why I’m able to pursue these projects!

Here’s to another sexy year!

Comments

I hope we see more of Ruth and Stig together. Sexually or not these two feel like they need a little more focus on their relationship as Mentor and Disciple / whatever you would call their more “intimate” relationship.
