Primes in this AU submit entirely by choice, whether that be conscious or subconscious. At this point in the story, Katsuki actually isn’t even aware that he is a prime.

Subcategories/special categories like prime and enigma show up early as just the traits of an alpha or omega. Further testing usually needs to be done when the individual shows unique traits of categories.

Unique traits usually show themselves as - abnormally high tolerances, the ability to affect the same dynamic as their own, (prime omega) not wanting or willing to submit to any form of glare/dom, (enigma) having the urge to have other alphas submit to them etc, among others
