TBE Chapter 90

TBE Chapter 90

The next day, Ezekiel thought of leaving early since he felt that they had enough game in his 4th tab space that he could cook a lot of food that would last them a while but then again, looking briefly at his inventory, he felt that he still had enough space and he saw that Simon enjoyed the hunting process, more than likely, it was because the man knew that he was protected from danger by a wizard which was true enough since Yuki Onna and the butcher knives awakened by Ezekiel’s Tiny Servant spell followed him and even assisted him in the more difficult hunt.

Besides, because the game that was hunted by Simon was already butchered, they took a small enough space in his 4th tab space that it wasn’t a problem if the man hunted a lot more game.

In the meantime, Robert and Luke wanted to play in the forest and since Ezekiel could look them up in the map in his first tab in his system browser and that some of the butcher knives awakened by the spell Tiny Servants followed them for their protection, and that they were also protected by the Mage Armor spell, he allowed them to go but he extracted a promise from them that they wouldn’t go to too far. After they muttered that promise, both boys ran off without looking back, and he just shook his head.

Ezekiel then started his woodworking project of mastering the more elaborate and aesthetically pleasing chair for children, but he did take a few seconds to look at his map to check Robert and Luke’s location. He was glad that the boys followed their promise of not going too far from the houses.

After a couple more hours, Ezekiel completed the chair, and he thought that he had mastered it enough that he should be able to recreate it using the Fabricate spell, so he tested it. He cast the spell Fabricate and was happy that the spell successfully recreated the chair that he had just created. Another test that he did was to search for a new chair over the internet that was good to look at but equal to the complexity of the chair that he had just mastered.

Ezekiel then studied the picture of the chair closely, trying to memorize all the details that he could and imagining himself creating it using wood. Then he cast the spell Fabricate and was delighted that the spell recreated the exact chair using the materials on the table.

Basically, what he just did meant a great deal when it came to the Fabricate spell and using it for his business. Once he mastered a wooden furniture or art piece that was complex and elaborate enough, it would not be difficult for him to create another one with the same complexity, and that meant that he could use the spell to create several of the same type of furniture.

He decided to test that idea since he had mastered one form of jewelry box that was beautiful to look at. He looked at the list of pictures of wooden jewelry boxes and the one that he had made before. He studied the jewelry box that he had made, remembering all the details that he did to create it. Then he chose of the other jewelry box that was as pretty as the one he had made and had the same complexity and studied it. He imagined creating the wooden jewelry box that he was looking at, and when he felt that he could create it using the skills that he had, he cast the spell Fabricate, and sure enough, the experiment was successful.

Because of the success of his experiments, Ezekiel felt that he had stumbled on a way to produce coins without expending funds. He just needed to master a specific item then he could recreate it as many times as he wanted as long as he had the materials, and the forest would provide him endless wood that he could use.

Of course, the coins that he could earn using some of the other products from his system store like the spices would ultimately provide them a much more robust number of coins compared to the items that he could produce using the Fabricate spell but he was a little proud that he had become an expert woodworking artist that he could now craft good-looking items.

His next project was supposed to be the table which was part of dining room set for children that he planned to master but he decided to stop for now since Ezekiel felt that was focusing too much on woodworking that he was neglecting the most important part that would make their lives easier. His magic.

Ezekiel felt that he needed to limit his woodworking to a few times, maybe twice a week, since ultimately, it was just a hobby.

According to Simon, they would arrive at a village the next day. At first, Ezekiel wanted to bypass the village since it was the first village after the town where Simon came from. The nobles that were killed by the bandits also came from there and he didn’t want their family associated in any way to those dead nobles but Simon said that no one would recognize him in the small village since his skin was smooth and fair, looking like a noble, because of the Healing Elixir that they used as a lotion. Not only that, he had never been there before.

Soon, Simon and the two boys arrived at the same time, and their pretend guardian carried a boar, a deer, and two pheasants. Ezekiel stored the game animals in his 4th tab space and asked the three boys to wash themselves in the washroom since they would eat lunch next and leave. He also told Simon that they would hunt game animals the next day and would travel to the village so they could rest there and earn a little gold.

While they were eating, Ezkiel taught Simon what he should be doing while he was selling their items, which was just acting as the adult guardian and their guard. After lunch, they started cleaning everything up, and soon, they were on the road.

On the road, the boys kept playing while Simon told Ezekiel everything he knew about the village that they would arrive in, which was admittedly very little since Simon didn’t have the chance to travel around and had always stayed in the manor where he served as serf.

Ezekiel knew from the little description that Simon told him that the next village was just like the other villages that they passed through during their journey.

Soon, they camped at a clearing in the forest that was near the road. When they had settled in their houses, Ezekiel assisted Simon in butchering the game that he had hunted earlier, and when they were done with that, their guardian went outside to play with his crossbow and sword.

Ezekeil went upstairs to bathe and after that he went in the dining room to plan on what he would need to do once they arrived at the village the next day.

When the sun set, everyone ate their dinner, and Ezekiel told them their bedtime story, and after that, they all rested.

The next day, they left early after breakfast since they wanted to arrive at the next village early. Before they left, Ezekiel asked the boys to do their chore of washing their clothes, but after a few minutes, he relented and cleaned everyone’s clothes using the Prestidigitation spell. He had to admit that washing their clothes was a far cry from dish washing since the boys somewhat enjoyed those, but clothes washing was something like a cruel punishment for Robert and Luke.

That meant that the only chore that everyone could do was wash dishes, clean the cart, and fed and clean their donkey.

At around nine in the morning, they saw the village in the distance. Robert and Luke were particularly happy since they expected to play with the villagers’ kids. The moment they entered the village, Robert and Luke pestered Ezekiel that they wanted to go and play with the children from the village.

“Let’s settle in the market first so you will know where to find us,” Ezekiel told his brothers.

Some of the villagers approached them and asked what their business in the village was, and because Ezekiel had trained Simon on what to say, their guardian answered the villagers confidently, which impressed him a little. He thought that Simon would stumble a little. What he didn’t know was that since Simon knew that he was supported by an extremely powerful wizard, his confidence grew to the roof.

“We are passing by on the way to the country of Delantan to meet with our family stationed there. My nephew is a talented woodcrafter, and we would like to sell the items that he has made in the market here. Is that permissible?”

Since Simon spoke confidently and looked mature, Ezekiel saw that the villagers looked a little intimidated. However, they did take comfort in the presence of Ezekiel, Robert, and Luke since children meant that they were a family just seeking some trade.
