I don't think there is a YouTube video summing up what happened in 2011. Most of them are talking about 2019, the Burning Sun scandal of Seungri. So back in 2011, after their comeback of EP 'Tonight', GD was accused of doing Marijuana in Japan but he states that a fan gave him a cigarette at after-party and he found it tastes weird and dropped it off after one taste. Authorities dropped the charge because the test only detected an extremely small amount of Marijuana and also since this is his first time. However GD still received harsh criticism from public since Marijuana is not legal in SK. Daesung later that year was involved in a car accident in which a motorcyclist died. The investigation cleared his name later since Daesung was not the one who caused the death of the motorcyclist. Bigbang's activities were paused and people thought they would disband. Fans showed their support and Bigbang won the Worldwide Act plum in the MTV Europe Music Awards so in the next year they release a song called Blue to express how they feel and People reaccept them because of that song. Later they release the whole EP and 'Monster'. To be honest, I think while they receive the most love, they also receive the most hate, especially GD. A fan made a video about GD and I think that's the most accurate video about him and Bigbang, what he's been through all these years and why he's the leader of BigBang. The video might be a little bit long but lots of people cried watching that. The video is called 'The unreal life of G-Dragon, and human Kwon-Ji Yong'. Even though we want him to come back and be our stars again, we also want him to be happy.
Sorry for the long comment!

Monster is a song they release after they hit their bottom back in 2011 with scandals and this is the song for fans and let fans know that they are not monsters. This song is quite personal so they only sing it in 2012 tour. And in the same album they have a song called 'Still Alive' which was an intro in previous album but then later is made to a full song because people really like it. That song is about they seem to be dead but they won't die.

Each member has so many solos and albums since three of them have world tours. Top is more focused on the acting career.
