Kiri La Kill - Chapter 3

Maybe more chapters today? Keep your eyes peeled.

--------

Finding civilization had been a lot easier than Kiri thought, all things considered.

He’d assumed that he’d have to trek for miles to even see signs of human life, what with how desolate and the mountain he’d found himself on had looked, but it had taken him just a day to prove that it was not the case at all.

It was a small town nestled near a river, small enough that he could observe all of it while standing above a vantage point. His overall verdict was that while it would have been a place that was nothing special before… he couldn’t help but think of it as his salvation now.

One thing Kiri hadn’t accounted for was just how much he stood out.

It should have been obvious that he would, given that he looked like he had-- well, just fallen off of a mountain! His clothes were shredded, his body was covered in dirt and muck, his hair was a wild mess… and that wasn’t even mentioning the fact that he stood a good head above most people.

Oh, also the sharp teeth, couldn’t go without mentioning that.

He had tried to grin reassuringly at a passerby who’d frozen stiff at his appearance, only for them to run away screaming in terror. He was still trying to figure out why that had dragged his mood through the gutter… he’d assumed that it was because of his memory, but anyone would be sad about their appearance scaring people off…

...Right?

He sighed.

If only he had an actual place to bathe.

—————

It was so much more than just needing a place to bathe.

Kiri had been traveling through the wilderness for a day at this point, and had been unconscious for who knows how long before that! If he had been hungry and miserable before, now he was starving and miserable.

The only thing he had been able to accomplish at this point was to sate his thirst at a fountain and wash the dirt off his face… which while helpful, only amounted to a stopgap measure, he couldn’t sustain himself on just water after all, especially with a body like his.

The only problem with that was that he couldn’t exactly wander into any shop and just buy himself some food… he had no money to speak of, and any attempt to ask for people’s kindness had resulted in them…

—————

“I’m sorry sir---”

“STAY AWAY! STAY AWAAAAY! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH”

“Excuse me ma’am?"

“DON’T EAT MEEEEEE!”

—————

…Now that he thought about it, it was best not to mention those affairs at all.

And so, being entirely unwilling to go and steal stuff that wasn’t his, Kiri was left in a very pressing predicament. With the only thing he could think about doing being to try and take a bath in that river he’d seen and hope that it helped his situation.

Which really was small comfort.

Come to think of it, something felt like it was missing from this scene---

“STOP RIGHT THERE VILLAIN!”

Yeah, that exactly!

With an eager grin and a body suddenly energized by a tinge of familiarity, he whirled around in the direction of the voice behind him. Grin widening as you saw three people that seemed to be his age! Two girls and a single boy heading the party, with all of them wearing what looked to be standard high school uniforms… except for the cape and cap combo that the boy was wearing, alongside the sledgehammer he was carrying.

Actually, wait, something was still wrong.

“I’m not a Villain!” Kiri immediately said, wincing as he wondered if that was a proper introduction or not.

“Y-your appearance begs to differ, beast!” The boy at the head of the party said with a crackling voice, the cape he’d tied over a student uniform flapping in the wind as he pointed his sledgehammer at Kiri. “You’ve been terrorizing the fine people of this city with your beastly appearance, no more!”

“T-tell him Chew-nii!” The girl to the right said, looking very unsure.

“M-maybe if you beat him back, I’ll go on a date with you!”

…Kiri was right back to unfamiliar territory.

And unfortunately for him, that little encouragement from the two girls (mostly the latter) meant that the belligerent boy was all too eager to prove himself now, and all too unwilling to listen to reason because of it!

“Look, this is a misunderstanding---”

“Silence!” The boy shouted, cape flapping in the wind once more. “And Begone!” He then began running forward with a shrill shout, his sledgehammer wound back in an absurdly telegraphed attack as he closed the distance and swung.

CLANG!

The Sledgehammer impacted uselessly against Kiri’s chest, the slow charge having given him plenty of time to pull his Quirk over the target area.

“E-eh?” The boy asked, staring at the spot where his sledgehammer had impacted, before his gaze slowly trailed upward toward your looming form, skin rapidly losing all color at what he saw in there.

…Well, he’d attacked first, so Kiri was pretty sure this constituted self defense.

So he had no qualms about ripping the sledgehammer out of the boy’s hand (who let out a whine at the loss) and bending it into an unusable shape right before their eyes, much to their horror.

“O-oh, jeez.” One of the girls said.

“G-gah!” The boy said, retreating rapidly and shaking like a leaf. “I s-should have known that you would be one of them!” He said, his hands dipping into the inner pocket of his jacket. “I have to use my secret weapon, but it’s not developed yet!”

“No, Chew-nii! It’s too dangerous!”

“Stand back, sister! I will sacrifice myself for our school and town if that’s what it takes to defeat this monster!”

A bit too melodramatic, isn’t it?

The boy ripped his hand out of his pocket to reveal— a pair of scissors?

Kiri could only blink in confusion, as the boy took a step forward, clacked the scissors once or twice in his hand, before bringing them down upon Kiri…

…And utterly destroying what remained of his clothes.

The two girls shrieked and covered their eyes, as Kiri was left naked before them… his hulking and muscled form seeming plenty hard even if he wasn’t using his Quirk in a way that visibly showed on his skin.

As you can imagine, this only made Kiri more confused.

“Why… did you do that?” He asked.

The boy, who had suddenly started feeling very inferior all of the sudden, took another step back as he tried desperately not to let his gaze wonder downwards, a prospect that his two followers had already failed on. “W-whatever do you mean, fool?!”

“Why did you strip me?” Kiri asked again, wondering if he should cover himself up or what… he was starting to get a bit embarrassed. “Are… you a pervert?” A pause, as he felt a bit bad about what he was about to say next. “I’m sorry, but I like women.”

One of the girls gasped, the one who’d told the boy that she’d take him on a date if he won. "T-that’s why—" The blush on her face was radiant, as he looked between Kiri and the boy who’d been called ‘Chew’ with wide eyes.

“No!” The boy desperately tried to cover himself, while Kiri was still wondering if he should cover himself. “He’s clearly one of those Honnouji freaks with their weird uniforms! I’ve been concocting that special weapon so that I might protect our school from their depravity if they ever did come!”

Honnouji?

Wait, what special weapon?

“That was just a pair of scissors.” You pointed out.

“A special weapon!”

…Okay, that about does it.

“That’s enough.” Kiri finally said, taking a step forward and looming over all of them. He felt somewhat bad about what he was about to do now, but well… they had kinda attacked him for no reason, and he was looking for answers. “You three are gonna stop doing this, and tell me everything I want to know.”

They could only stare in awe and nod.

“Good.” He said, feeling somewhat awkward as he looked around the empty street they were in the middle of. “Let’s go somewhere a little private first.”

“A-are you gonna slake your lusts on us?”

“WHAT?!”

Safe to say, Kiri was not expecting that either.
