Kiri la Kill - Chapter 12

For those confused about the numbering on this chapter, today was a double update to celebrate the birthday of a very prominent supporter of mine! So make sure to catch the Chapter 11 I posted today, before reading this one!

Now, put on your favorite music of the rip and tear variety, and enjoy…

------------

Kiri impacted Honnouji’s first line of defense like a meteor impacts the Earth.

Bodies were sent flying every which way, as the people who tried to form a wall around Kiri were utterly demolished by him simply choosing to run through their defensive formation without even hindered for a second.

They had tried to form a wall of bodies to entrap and swarm him of course, a collection of 1 Stars who had been pulled from the bottom rungs of a variety of lower tier clubs--- but of course, they had found themselves hopelessly outmatched.

The impact point had been the worst off in terms of damage, but the moral damage of being so easily defeated had a disastrous effect on the rest of the formation. And as if to add insult to injury, their fire support would not prove to be any better.

Kiri only took the moment after that to do a three hundred and sixty degree slide, using his footing to jump in the direction of the Tanks that had been struggling to aim his direction.

Although, it wasn’t so much of a jump, so much as Kiri rocketing toward one of the two tanks (the one to his right), and leaving a visible dent on its surface as he impacted it, before climbing on the metal and placing his hands on the turret even as it turned to face him.

His muscles rippled, growing visibly jagged and more hardened in a telltale show of his hardening, as he pulled… and much to the disbelief of everyone watching, slowly but surely detached the turret from its tank with the tortured scream of metal.

It revealed about half a dozen teenagers gawking up at him, alongside the distinct smell of their fear… But Kiri had already put them out of his mind, as he turned his attention to the other thank that was

He jumped the rest of the distance without a care in the world, still carrying the top half of the tank in his hand as he did so, a roar leaving his lips in the process.

BOOM!

The tank chose that moment to fire.

One might have thought that, with its advanced firing algorithm, and the fact that Kiri was proving to be a comparatively slow and cumbersome target would mean that the Hard Boy would be an easy target for the Tank, but they would, of course, be wrong.

On the account of not having taken into account the possibility of Kiri accomplishing the impossible.

As they found out, when Kirishima Eijiro simply used the tank turret he was holding as an improvised bat to defend himself against the shell propelled his way… And when he landed on the second tank he was to destroy that day, he simply gripped whatever remained of the turret he was holding onto with both hands, before shoving all of it through the turret right as it was about to fire a second time.

The Tank’s turret blew into pieces, rendering it nothing more than useless scrap metal, as the teenagers inside of it spilled out one after one, to escape the burning wreckage of the death trap they had subjected themselves to.

Kirishima Eijiro was already gone, his climb to the top having only been delayed for a few minutes.

-----------------------

“HE’S PAST THE FIRST LAYER, I REPEAT, HE’S GONE THROUGH US!”

“HE HAS A POWER, A UNIFORM!”

-----------------------

“Casualties at acceptable parameters, Lady Kiryuin.”

“Send in the Air Force… and reinforce them with the Arts and Crafts Club.”

“At once!”

Now was the time to find out the truth about this boy, and his elusive supply of Goku Uniforms.

-----------------------

The subsequent waves would have a similar luck as the first.

Honnouji Academy, and all of its students, had assembled themselves into ten defensive formations, each tasked with coming up with their own specializations to swarm and defeat Kirishima Eijiro based on what limited information was made available on him. Whichever wave succeeded, would be given uniforms one star grade above the one they had…

…Considering that the offer applied to even the Two Stars, who salivated at the thought of entering Kiryuin Satsuki’s inner circle, it was a very attractive deal who saw plenty of volunteers. None of them knew that they were signing themselves up to be sacrificial lambs, in Honnouji Academy’s efforts to gather information that they lacked on the boy, before coming up with a way to counter him.

They would pay for it massively.

The second wave had been torn into pieces when they tried to assemble themselves into a human mech with the core being provided by the Plastic Model Assembly Club. The Third had found themselves having to evade their own Tanks’ gunfire, when Kirishima Eijiro proved his ability to duck and weave, despite his reliance on taking hits.

The less said about the fourth wave, the better.

Even Kiri had felt a bit bad about what he did to that guy’s bloodline.

It was only during the fifth wave, when a small fleet of helicopters were seen in the distance, that Kirishima Eijiro was slowed down even a single bit, as turrets opened fire on him, forcing the ground fighters to scatter, and for Kiri to call upon his Quirk to defend himself as the bullets finally reached him.

They bounced uselessly off of him, and within a few seconds of defending, he had gathered enough strength to leap up and grab onto the tails of one of the Helicopters, causing an instant loss of balance and a cascade effect as several others were either caught in the chaos, or had to evade…

The resulting crashes were deafening, and the air was covered in parachutes of people who had evacuated just in time, and it seemed as though Kirishima Eijiro, who’d somehow found the time to save an awfully clingy No Star student from the wreckage, looked like he was going to be unhindered even then.

It was only when the Head of the Arts and Crafts Club, nicknamed ‘Snipper’, with the brave sacrificial analysis of her second, nicknamed ‘Kawalierki’, managed to fashion the largest pair of scissors out of one of the downed helicopters, that something went right for Honnouji.

For Snipper, had not targeted Kiri, she had targeted the No Star.

And as Kiri’s heroic tendencies had him throwing himself in front of the girl, the casualty… was none other than his clothes.

“WHY IS THIS BECOMING A REGULAR THING?!” Kiri asked, even as he grabbed Snipper by the head, before shoving it to his knee and knocking her out, before storming off in a huff…

Unbeknownst to him, his naked form was clearly showing off his hardened and jagged skin for all the cameras to see.

Oh, also, he’d forgotten the No Star still clinging to his back.

Oh, the rampage doubled in speed in the aftermath of this by the way.

-----------------------

“HE’S TOO STRONG! EVEN STRIPPING HIM DIDN’T GET RID OF HIS POWERS!”

“THE FUJOSHI CLUB HAVE DESERTED!”

“THE GOGGLES DO NOT PROTECT ME FROM THE THOUGHTS!”

“WHAT IS THIS GUY?!”

-----------------------

Kiryuin Satsuki had opened her eyes for the first time since the ordeal had begun, her disinterest having turned into enraptured scanning, even as her lieutenants gazed at her in concern.

“No… Uniform?” She whispered to herself. “Could this be..?”

Were the Life Fibers playing a new game, unknown to even Ragyo herself… or was this something else entirely..?

-----------------------

“Woah! You are really strong! I don’t know why they have us fighting you when you’re clearly so strong! Your muscles also feel really nice, and your Hardness is poking me! Do you really like me that much already?!”

Kiri had not intended to bring the No Star along with him.

It made sense. After all, he had no idea about her extenuating circumstances and had considered her an enemy along with all of the other students he’d met so far. One he’d saved from death, of course, but he’d do that for anyone.

But… something had stopped him.

“PLEASE DON’T LET ME DOWN! THEY REALLY MIGHT KILL ME! WHAT WILL MY FAMILY, MY POOR FAMILY, MY ACTUALLY REALLY POOR FAMILY WHO CAN’T EVEN AFFORD REAL FOOD, DO WITHOUT MEEE?!”

Yeah, that.

Thankfully, even with her clinging to his back, his Rampage across Honnouji continued without slowing down, and the sixth, seventh, eight, ninth and tenth waves all slowly but steadily disintegrated before him, the last two more out morale than any real effort on his part!

His heart soared, and filled with purpose, as he stood before the gates of Honnouji.

-----------------------

A single word, spoken with divine authority, cut through all of the panicked shouting.

“Gamagoori.”

In an instant, hope soared as a triumphant shout was heard across the corners of Honnouji Academy.

“MY FATE IS YOURS, LADY KIRYUIN!” The roar shook the skies.

Before it did as it was asked.

And the world trembled, as a second meteor shot down to the ground of Honno City…Down below, Kirishima Eijiro had to come to a sliding stop, tearing apart the earth and kicking up dust as he felt a large shadow looming over him.

His instincts told him that he had to stop, or he and his new… friend? Would be crushed underfoot.

His Anchor was the only thing that saved him from being blown away in the face of what came next, as a tremendous impact, followed by a ground battering earthquake, blinded him by kicking up tons of dust.

And when it all cleared, Kiri and the No Star found themselves beneath a whole new shadow.

KIRISHIMA EIJIRO!” Boomed, the gigantic man that now blocked Kirishima Eijiro right before the entrance of Honnouji Academy. “I, GAMAGOORI IRA, THE RIGHT HAND MAN AND MOST LOYAL SERVANT OF KIRYUIN SATSUKI, WILL BAR YOUR PATH.” The ground trembled as the Enforcer stomped his feet in clear challenge. “YOU SHALL GO NO FURTHER THAN THIS.”

Kiri… could only blink in the face of his declaration.

“Have we met?” He asked, unable to stop himself. “I swear I’ve heard your voice before.”
