2021-09-14 10:41:46 +0000 UTCOh, that's a very fun video to get into, yeah! :D Taeyong and Doyoung were quite awkward in this video, but that's more due to the fact that they are more private with their friendship. Or were, at the time it was shot! because they are in fact very close, Doyoung being effectively Taeyong's second-in-command, and there's a lot of touching moments with them, from how comfortable they talk in vlives to videos like To You (which was relay video messages NCT 127 did, and Taeyong started it off with a suuuper deep and heartfelt message to Doyoung), not to mention countless times they talked about each other, "it's not always you find a friend like Doyoung" in Taeyong's words, etc. So yeah, some of them can just be a tad awkward when they have to show it in front of cameras, haha :D

Also Haechan and Taeil did a hosting of new members when they did NCT U 2020. It's called Sun and Moon, which is their last names. Very quick funny clips of members interviewed.

2021-09-12 17:50:07 +0000 UTCJust to reiterate what the others were saying Taeyong and Doyoung are incredibly close, they were just acting weird in this video like the weirdos they are! They actually have Cartier friendship rings LOL. They also have the type of best friend relationship where they rag on each other but are very sincere and kind with their actions towards one another. They are such good friends that I get the sense that they can't really express all their feelings in a simple video and thus turn to surface compliments just to make it through for the cameras. I also get the feeling that they are mostly trolling, especially Taeyong, because he doesn't feel comfortable showing how much he deeply cares for Doyoung in this kind of environment. For example, when Taeyong got injured at the end of last year, Doyoung wrote to the fans not to worry cause he was with Taeyong and taking care of him. They are very sweet and one of my favorite NCT friendships :)

One would be the other pairings - you’ve got Haechan jumping on Taeil, Yuta and Mark being the sweetest duo I’ve ever seen, etc. The other would be their personalities and dynamic - from what I’ve seen Doyoung and Taeyong have a more “Tom & Jerry” friendship. Doyoung is pretty reserved and I think Taeyong is as just awkward (love you TY). You put those together and can easily see how big shoulders is a compliment 😂 Jaehyun lived in America for several years. He quite often speaks English in their other contents. And yep, Yuta is Japanese. I know I always say this when you ask for recommendations, but Weekly Idol. And of course there’s the NCT Life content too.

2021-09-12 14:55:00 +0000 UTCJaehyun actually lived in Connecticut USA from when he was 5 to 10 years old. So that’s why he is fluent and has an American accent when he speaks English. His family seems to be all over the world. Mark and Jaehyun did a full-English interview on the Korean Englishman YT channel where Jaehyun mentions that he has a uncle in England. I think that compliment and hug exercise shows what Taeyong meant that they are a bit awkward or maybe the translation didn’t come across the way TY meant it
