When I started watching I was only an Ateez fan. But I knew of every group. By the end I started to stan BtoB and Ikon and The Boyz. And have such new found appreciation for Stray Kidz and Sf9. This is such a ride..

2021-10-22 22:52:22 +0000 UTCYes you can see some groups/companies are realllllly invested in it and its chill for others. What do you mean by kingdom week?

2021-10-22 10:27:31 +0000 UTCOkay. I want you to do a kingdom week! I watch with not having a main group to vote for and came out a fan of all of them. Ignore the voting other then themselves and the expert votes. In the beginning of the series MNet did their standard MNet and didn't tell all the groups how much they could spend so some groups did crazy stages and some did basic stages. It makes a difference in what you watch. They will do more inter actions later on in the show. Also Min Hyuk(Huta) and Minho(Shinee) have a loooonnggg history of competition. They show it later. You will understand the Abs comment later also. I now want to go watch Kingdom again...and again...

2021-10-22 02:01:33 +0000 UTCThanks for this it's helpful to know that context. Their concepts seemed crazy so I'm not surprised. YES definitely doing a boyz Discovery, I'll put it in the calender. Ant suggestions?

2021-10-21 23:05:17 +0000 UTCThe phone thing is very interesting. I have heard about mnet. And for a young group it's best to avoid any tension. Thanks for all the info no apologies about the length needed

2021-10-21 23:03:22 +0000 UTCAlso (sorry for commenting again): as i've been following the boyz since before road to kingdom, i wanted to emphasize a bit of context. during kingdom, the boyz were actually going through a pretty dark time in regards to their physical and mental health. in road to kingdom, all the competing teams were pretty desperate to do well and gain recognition. tbz gave it their all, and they dominated the competition, one round after the other. they did crazy, super dangerous stunts and incredibly difficult choreographies, and deservingly won and gained a lot of respect. but because of that, everyone's expectations were SUPER high for kingdom. the members have talked about how, during kingdom, they were all so burnt out because they really had given their all to RTK. they experienced a lot of creative/mental burnout, as well as several physical injuries too. you'll see them being super hard on themselves during kingdom, since they also feel the responsibility to represent all the RTK groups who weren't able to compete in kingdom. RTK started in April 2020. they had a comeback when it ended, and then went straight to filming kingdom in April 2021, so it was a looong and exhausting journey for them <3 but on a brighter note, they're having a comeback on November 1st! That might be a good time to do an exploration or something if you have time :) I'd love to see you do one for the other groups too! and fyi, tbz's oldest was born 1996 and their youngest was born in 2000. (sorry for the long comments omg)

2021-10-21 23:00:26 +0000 UTCTo be honest with you I agree with the voting system being a problem... I started to ignore it after the first six full performances. It also just caused a lot of problems within the fandoms. I'm so excited for you to watch the rest of these! I still haven't watched all of them, so I'll probably just wait and watch with you for fun. BUT definitely get ready for some fun interactions. These groups together are hilarious when they're allowed to be free and interact together. Also to answer another question The youngest member of TheBoyz is 2000 and it's Eric, the oldest is 1996... And everyone else is between that.

2021-10-21 22:51:18 +0000 UTCyay! i'm so excited to see you react to more of these, it's so fun to watch you discover some new groups! here's a couple answers to some questions you had floating around. first, i totally agree that the voting system relies too heavily on the fanbase. each group's fans are very different demographics, so they'd vote differently. so definitely don't look too much at the rankings and just enjoy the performances and group interactions (there'll be more interactions, don't worry)! second, the judges are revealed later in the show for fairness' sake! but they are a panel of professional/famous choreographers, producers, directors, etc. third, you pointed out that one of the groups was holding that phone with the words on it. it says the name of the group currently performing, and it's a way to prevent evil editing by mnet! sometimes mnet will edit a person's reaction onto the wrong performance to make things more 'dramatic', so by holding up the name of the group we can know that it's their true reaction. fourth, there are versions of each performance on youtube with no cuts back and forth! i suggest you go back and watch those if you want, since you seemed to be bothered by the cuts (which i totally understand too). lastly, you'll have to get used to mnet dragging announcements out hahah, almost all korean reality shows are always dragged out super long :) hope this helped answer some of your questions!!! :D
