Seeing how talented they were from their debut is surprising, particularly 3racha they came out of the gate strong.

I don't know what happened to too many of the girls team aside from the itzy girls after the show but I know Mashiro debuted with Kep1er in January!

He trusted him enough to let him form his own group among the trainees, and gave him total freedom (and we know how rare is that in kpop). Of course I’m just guessing but I think he didn’t want to check on the boys to get the full impact of the performance, the full first time reaction and feel if it was as good as he was expecting. In my opinion JYP had Chan in mind to debut from the beginning.

2022-09-10 22:56:17 +0000 UTCI think the reason why JYP didn't check on the boys team was because of how close he was to Chan. Bang Chan has been there so long and he's really familiar with JYP. There's a running joke/nickname that Chan is JYP's son, they're that familiar with each other. I think JYP not seeing anything from the boy's team was him trying not to be biased

2022-09-08 11:02:06 +0000 UTCI joined to watch the Kingdom reactions and just in time for the skz survival show!! it’s the best way to get to know the kids imho, and it’s just good to see everything they went through and all the hard work they put in to debut together. also, skz did an interview with jyp around their first japanese release where channie kinda explains a little about why he picked each member; it’s subbed on the stray k subs channel if you’re interested.
