I don't think it excludes them or sets them apart as they already have a strong fanbase (each individual member) so it was clear from the start that all 7 members would debut. This was purely YG's genius (although infuriating marketing) to gain popularity for the group's debut. The same as BlackPink having 1 comeback every million years. He's annoying but good at marketing along with the others at YG. Viewers must have been MAD throughout the announcement so his strategy will have worked, as you me and many others are already emotionally invested. :)

Maybe that’s just the circles you’re in because I see people talking about how young the NewJeans members and LeeSeo of IVE are on Twitter often. The NewJeans age issue was VERY prominent when they released Cookie too.

Oh I've definitely also got a problem with the industry as a whole plus other groups debuting and sexualizing young girls. It's incredibly problematic and needs to be discussed much more.

How come no one seems to have a problem with New Jeans ..IVE etc.. I see lots of people on YouTube complaining about baby monsters average age being 15 but look at those groups and they're actually very very focused on visuals too and no one seems to complain about it

The only thing I'm a little sad at is back in January I thought they were gonna debut march/april at the latest and my expectations for when they were gonna debut just kept getting push back further and further and now idek when they are gonna debut

Honestly, the concepts and styles are all covers/imitations so I don't really know how I feel yet. They do a good job and are all very technically trained but the emotional depth just isn't there most of the time. To me that correlates with age and lack of experience in life and performing. Sometimes it's giving Kidz bop covers, sorry! I'm very curious to hear their pre-debut song. Again, the age thing trips me up like they haven't even fully gone through puberty yet! I just hope they don't do any really racy concepts.

I'm happy for the girls I just don't think I can get over some of the members being so young, legit children! It really throws me...

I still wonder if 7 is the best call, even though it makes my heart happy for them. It will be very hard to divide the lines between these 7 talented girls, we will always want to ha bigger part for our favorites.

The way you celebrated with both Ruka and Haram being chosen in the original 5 line up was ME. Ruka, Haram, and Asa are my bias line since Day 1. I was kind of upset cuz those 3 didn’t really get much praises/compliments until the last 3 episodes. Then I was like people better take notice of Miss Ruka, Miss Asa, and Miss Haram! That’s my trio for real! I also understood why YGE chose that original 5 line up.. that’s a very strong line up. But I’m also all for OT7 and I knew this troll was just dragging everything and making things stressful even though most likely he already went with OT7 since last year. LOL! Look at the girls’ ages on their photos. He filmed this announcement video most likely a month or so after the final mission. In present time Ruka is now 21, Pharita will be turning 18 this year, Asa just turned 17 last month, Ahyeon just turned 16 last month, Haram will be turning 16 this year, Rora will be turning 15 in a few months, and Chiquita just turned 14 this past Feb. So YHS already had OT7 in mind since probably the end of the last year. Then he planned on dropping the content and Last Evaluations to of course get us emotionally invested and to keep it interesting and people talking about BABY MONSTER.. he had to make it dramatic and say oh BABY MONSTER will never be 7… the final number is 5. I mean let’s be for real.. BABY MONSTER profile pic in all social media platforms are of OT7. Ruka, Pharita, Ahyeon, and Chiquita have been super active on TikTok and IG. There has been one TikTok/IG of OT7 during Jisoo’s “Flower” dance challenge. Ruka, Asa, and Ahyeon uploaded bday posts on BABY MONSTER’s official IG. It doesn’t make sense that after all of that, it would just be 5. Haha! OT7 is the way to go! Judging by what YHS said, BABY MONSTER debut might be an end of summer/fall debut.

I didn't see Rora and Asa as being presented as "not as important" or less talented, but rather as members who were strong and well-rounded enough to lead other groups, which makes sense. It was still very rude of him to play with our emotions though 🤪

See I disagree with you on the idea that he feels Rora and Asa are less important to the group. He was just going by how he would have chosen if if would be as he thought in the first place, a five member group. He said 2 weeks ago it was not about who is good or bad. I think his strategy was brilliant marketing! He got us very much involved with each of the members over the past months. Had us invested, and then went away from his initial thoughts and made the group a full 7. I say brilliant, even if it pissed us off. My tears of joy we overwhelming when he brought out the BABYMONS7TER sign.

Im just happy YG is debuting all members, and I do appreciate him for being straight up with us and telling us who are the 5 he was choosing to debut and why but ultimately giving the power to us fans to choose and debut all 7 together
