Wuffle and Friends Part 2: Ultimate 4K and the history behind the characters!

Another week break to refreshing my view on anim proj (hint, it's worked!) Heres are the rest of the Gingerbread Villagers. I missed drawing them XD Hope you like'em as well!

I start with Wuffle's sister and dad, Éclair and Soufflé. AS you may guess the Wellwuff family name are based on treats and snacks (that make me hungry all the time whenever I draw them)

Éclair first appeared in the 2014 comic "Sister Act" when she visit Wuffle at the farm on a lonely, snowy day. Her appeared hint their family background on why Wuffle's alone and where's their parents is. I remember people misunderstood that their parents are divorced but in fact they just live in separated and work in different field (which I haven't reveal yet at that time)

The comic story itself based on an idea of who's Wuffle really. Is he just a happy wolf that walk around in the overalls all the time? So I and the editor at that time come up with his sister character that explain his backstory to the reader. Since Wuffle is not the character that tell his true mind (he scared that it might upset people) so we point out his flawed and let his sister doing the job of opening his mind to the reader.

His dad, Soufflé, first appeared in the final chapter of the comic "The Carrot Hunt" when Debbita invited Wuffle to the yearly carrots hunt trip, but this time his dad come along as well. We came up with why his dad have to travel around and revealing that Debbita is actually an orphan kid that got raised by Wuffle's dad hospitality and now she's become big sis of the other orphanage kids. Debbita personality is totally contrast with Wuffle so she's perfect for the role to encourage Wuffle for being too nice and just be truly to himself for once, especially with his dad.

It was a heart broken episode and at that time I realized I cant do this comic much longer or else it's gonna break me X'D I'm those artists who preferred making something to entertain the viewer rather than depressed or heavy topic like this haha. But it was fun to do it once in a while. When I ask my friend Balmos who love drawing heavy emotion comic on how he handled it. He just said he didn't care much about reader X'D I was like "okay, our mindset is totally different lol"

Next two sets are the rest of the supporting cast in Wuffle Comics. I haven't draw them that often and have to use references from my old comics, how embarrassing XD

First set are Aunty Pink, Uncle Broccoli and the Squirrel family; Mrs. Hazel, Mr. Peanut, Maggie (with Switch), Damien (with Wuffle) and Almond (who feeling his mom's new child).

Aunty Pinky first appeared in a comic where Wuffle painted her fence and refused to accepted money so she eating it XD After that she's talking to her husband, Uncle Broccoli, from the "Pinepad' and Wuffle accidentally break it in half. It was a silly idea that turn out to be a thing in comic. When Wuffle fix something its always turn out good, too good to be exacted. Pinky's Pinepad now become a 3D hologram and that make Foxxo's jealous haha

The squirrel family started with the most squirrel joke ever. Mrs Hazel give Puipui and Wuffle a snack only to ended up stuff them in her mouth instead. The kids are reveal in the carrots apocalypse comic and fully shine in the Welcome Party comic. All personality is there, Maggie is the oldest sister and the leader. Damien is the active one and Almond is the one that not insecure in themselves. I use themselves for Almond because we reveal in The Red Riding Hood Comic that Almond is, while assigned female at birth, preferred to be masculine non-binary but not knowing yet. So we gave Vanon (the monkey guy) explain that to Almond and tell them about chest binding in this comic.

The next set are the Post Office gang with Chuck the horse and his boyfriend Dr. Greyham, Matilda the Tortoise and Nathaniel the white rabbit. And The Café Vanon buddy. Vanon the monkey and Betsy the lioness.

Matilda is the most sane people in this comic haha. She's the straight to the point kind of people and just do ordinary thing everyday like delivery the mail and reading book or hunt the autograph from her fav author. We always seen her working around Nathaniel the anxiety white rabbit (the idea of tortoise and hare working together is just fun haha) but nothing much.

Their boss, Chuck, is the fastest horse around and perfect role for delivery the mail in a sec (which I hope that can happened in real life, sobs) We reveal that he has a boyfriend in Meet The Parents comic, a small doctor hamster name Greyham. He got so bored from doing nothing because no one got sick in this village ever so Chuck ask Wuffle to pretend to be sick just to make his boyfriend happy in this comic.

Then the latest cast that got invented for the comic. Betsy and Vanon. We always open a new season of comic with Wuffle and his overalls become torn apart. While everyone are fine with it, we want someone who doesn’t feel that way, and she's Betsy, the fashion queen, who work in her friend café, the blue monkey, Vanon. In The Lion's Dream comic, her role is the show that not everyone feel friendly with Wuffle and prefered Foxxo more, but there always a reason behind that. Vanon is a sweet guy who runs café quietly and so nice to be around with. He's secretly fall in love with Matilda and try to do many thing to show her how he feel but Matilda just cant read the sign that's all haha.
