The line work is still great and I’m pretty sure that is meant to be Layla sat on the middle of the new benchwarmer. I wonder if they are playing Julie’s old team of if it’s just a “they don’t know what there in for” type of playful banter that Piper is telling Julie in the second part of the comic. Hope you enjoy the celebrations and have a good time with them, retirement is certainly a big thing when someone has been working that long.
