To add on a more general note, please try as much as possible to avoid the traps that tragically few authors can resist in this genre - frequent side-character POVs, flashback chapters, elongating a single temporally short scene across multiple chapters, and repeating the same scene from multiple POVs. As readers we're in it fundamentally for the MC's unique and interesting perspective, and cutting to something else, as interesting or convenient for exposition as it may be, is unlikely to be as satisfying as continuing the MC's journey.

2025-02-12 22:07:23 +0000 UTCOne thing I’ve got to add is that having multiple chapters in a row from a different POV is kinda frustrating. If you matched the tones of Ke Yin chapters for the beast tide you could have some really nice parallels between them. I enjoy these chapters but I don’t really enjoy the diversion after you took multiple chapters setting up the beast tide to just cut over to Wu Kangming. It comes of as rather frustrating as it interrupts the pace for a long period of time.
