Mango Manga: The King, The Witch and The Wizard

ＰＬＯＴ ＳＵＭＭＡＲＹ

The story idea of Mango starts in the human world (yes, homosapien!) at the Kingdom of Ziam Country. The Evil Wizard Krakatoa tricked the King of Ziam, Zama the 10th, that their river guardian, The Great Naga, got cursed and made a havoc on the country.

The foolish king trusts the wizard and captures the Naga. Only to realize later that the wizard just wanted the king's royal army to help capture the mythical creature so he can drain its power for himself and use it to conquer the world!

What not knowing is that The Great Naga also has a son. Now they are in great danger!

The Great Naga uses its last strength magical power to open a dimension gate and send The Young Naga to the safety place somewhere else...

The Young Naga drift along the dimension hole and fall into a seashore on a small island called Gelato. He was discovered by the talking giant otter named Yogurt and his son, Smoothie, of Ottersons family. They named him Mango (a word play of Mangorn aka Dragon in Thai) and decided to adopt the young derg and protect him at all cost!

Growing up on the island, Mango has to find a way to go back to his home and protect his Naga dad from great danger. While facing an onbstacle such as The Wizard Krakatoa that keeps looking for him. The mysterious Maddy the Witch, who wants his life energy for her personal scheme. Last, The Komodo Mayor of Galato Island (he believes he's the real dragon!) and his corrupted party. They control the economy of the island by keeping them poor and underdeveloped. The appearance of Mango makes them seek a fortune by wanting to use him as an attraction for the tourist and gain income for their own wealthiest.

ＳＩＤＥ ＣＨＡＲＡＣＴＥＲＳ

Dark Lord Krakatoa: The Evil Wizard that wants to absorb Naga power and conquer the world!

First design is based on the image of a mage in the medieval era. With a tight cloak wrapped around his big nose, bushy beard head.

Tho that changed when I set the setting in Ziam Country. Based on Thailand in the olden days, Krakatoa designs might have changed into something like Hermit instead.

Stereotypical of Hermit in Thailand is often seen as an old man wearing clothes with a tiger pattern. Using all kinds of voodoo and dark magic.

King Zama the 10TH: The Ruler of Ziam Country. The Power Hunger, The Fool!

Well, you can guess where this is going.

I based the setting around my country (Thailand) and yes including the corrupted current king. Nothing much on him, he's just a tool for those who want to use him to gain power. Next thing he knows his throne is gonna be taken in a second.

Sorry, sudden personal vent lol.

Maddy the Witch: The mysterious raven of Gelato Island. Mango is not the one who's mythical in this world!

I have a rule in all of my comics/animation, that Birds and Fish are foods and pets. That's why you never see their character walking or talking in my content, until now.

Maddy is a giant raven whose origin is mysteries. The appearance of Mango makes her interested in his abilities.

ˢᵒᵐᵉᵗᶦᵐᵉˢ ˢʰᵉ ᵘˢᵉ ʰᵉʳ ᵐᵃᵍᶦᶜ ᵗᵒ ᵐᵃᵏᵉ ᴹᵃⁿᵍᵒ'ˢ ᶜˡᵒᵗʰᵉˢ ᵃˡᶦᵛᵉ ˢᵒ ᶦᵗ ᶜᵃⁿ ᵇʳᶦⁿᵍ ʰᶦᵐ ᵗᵒ ʰᵉʳ ᵃᵘᵗᵒᵐᵃᵗᶦᶜᵃˡˡʸ.

We don't know if she's a friend or foe but she will have an important role in the story for sure.

Komodo Mayor: The Corrupted Mayor of Gelato Island. He believes he's the real dragon himself!

As said above, he and his minions (Aurik and Rurik) are controlling the economy of the island. They are basically a mafia that keep the island under developed and poor.

He plans to make Mango stay on the island so he can gain much more income from the tourists who want to see the real dragon (even though he prides himself as a true dragon but using others is more fun).

That's all for the story I have for a while. Sounds pretty big, eh XD

It actually is the second idea when I start developing the young Mango version.

But this bit is just for the beginning of the comic.

The rest of the plot of Mango's journey will be about him adapting himself around the islander.
