Happy midweek, everyone! Hope you have an amazing day!
As for me I've been cooking some ideas for our naked ginger cat, Oat O'Connell, a bit.
You might remember I drew him here and there in these post and his pin-up in these post here and here (18+ warning!).
The project is called "The Baretender" and I'm interested in doing it and want to share some small tidbits of the overall idea on how the cat story begins and how he loses the clothes!

Oat O'Connell was born an heir to the O'Connell family, a very wealthy and powerful family of Whiskburgs—a diverse town if you're a cat!

Oat, a young and handsome ginger cat with a striking physique and a two-toned hairstyle, was a gifted mixologist with an uncanny talent for crafting drinks that could mend hearts and stir souls. However, he was also incredibly arrogant, lazy, and foul-mouthed—a master of his craft but a disaster as a person.

On his 18th birthday, Oat decided he wanted to prove his worth. He demanded a building from his parents to turn into a party venue. To his shock, they offered him a deal: he must first learn to manage a single bar, named Bark 'N Brew, on the 13th floor of their oldest tower. The bar was owned by an ancient Shih Tzu named Lao Tzu. Oat reluctantly agreed, vowing to quickly take over and transform the place.

For a year, Oat worked for Lao Tzu lazily, never caring much about anything. Then, one day, Lao Tzu suddenly passed away. Oat immediately took over the bar and renamed it Bottoms Up, tearing out the old decor and replacing it with flashing lights and a DJ booth. The bar became a wild nightclub, attracting a young, high-society crowd. Oat's reputation skyrocketed, and he gained full ownership of the tower, moving into a luxury penthouse he built above the bar.

That night, a mysterious, hairless Xolo dog in a semi-transparent robe—a soothsayer-like figure—entered the bar where Oat was celebrating his birthday. Oat, who was drunk, greeted him, but the Xolo was not amused. He was an old customer of Bark 'N Brew who came to visit Lao Tzu every ten years and was now a witness to Oat's disrespect for his old friend's legacy. The Xolo refused the drink Oat offered and walked away in disappointment.

Feeling dishonored, Oat sprayed the Xolo with a vodka and beer hose, shouting for him to go back to the slums where dogs belonged! The moment Oat humiliated the Xolo, the bar and everyone in it disappeared.

In a black void, the Xolo revealed his true identity as THE GRIM. He cast a curse on Oat, decreeing that he would be exposed and stripped of his pride in his birthday suit until he learned to listen to others and truly serve them. The world returned to normal, but Oat, believing it was a hallucination, was unaware that his life had just been irrevocably changed...

Thus, the tales of naked cat begin!

After this, the story will follow the downfall of Oat O'Connell. From living a high life in a skyscraper, he'll hit rock bottom in the Wetdog Slum, a place where dog citizens were banished.

There, he'll meet many new friends—people he never cared about before. These are individuals who struggle to live day by day but are full of heart and are happy to help Oat whenever the curse leaves him naked on the street again.

One of the key characters is Mill, an art student with whom Oat will become friends. Mill is the only person who can make Oat listen <3

Mill also has four art student friends who know about Oat's curse and love to prank him XD

Oat's life will never be the same again!

The scale of the story is kinda big eh XD good for a continuation comic. I want to make a Webtoon/Manhwa format out of it one day when I have free time from Hank <3

I'll keep cooking the idea for a bit and can't wait to start! Are you interested in Oat stories? Leave your comments below!
