Because of one of the voice actresses who played Amy also played Lina Inverse in the Slayers anime I always thought it would have been funny if Amy ended up with a tall dumb hedgehog with a shock of blonde hair and a magic sword. Maybe named Dexter after her imaginary boyfriend from Sonic Chronicles.

I seriously thought the last one was future Sonic fucking past Sally, until I read your description. To me, personally, it feels like there's little difference between pictures of characters from either time period.
