Early Release for The Thing

Making this video had a ton of problems. Not only was I at Comic-Con for 4 days this week (an eternity in work time when you have to put out a video every week) but the first time I went to film the episode I had major technical difficulties involving the sound recorder getting knocked down and reset, losing hours of work. I had to re-record all the on-camera stuff Monday night which is WAY later than I want to be shooting anything that has to be out days later. But I did it. Damn.
This weekend is much more free for me than the last two so I'm planning on getting Night of the Living Dead and Cabin in the Woods in good shape as well as starting my watch of the Child's Play series, which I can't friggin wait for.

The second time I watched this film I immediately pressed play again, this time on the commentary track. I definitely recommend doing that, watch it first on its own and give yourself time to ruminate on it, then watch it 2x more with the commentary track being your third viewing, because this way youโre familiar enough with the mystery to focus on what Carpenter and Russell are saying. So glad I got the Blu-ray for this, I donโt buy many movies but this just begs a rewatch, and my libraryโs copy skips anyway ๐๐คญ
