A Subclass to Tide You Over

Hey all! I know this place has been relatively quiet, largely because I have been traveling a lot for work lately. So, let's just cut to the chase and throw something interesting out there. How about a barbarian subclass?

I always liked the idea of the barbarian as a class that hates magic, so what about an anti-magic barbarian?

The Spell Breaker

Some barbarians are able to attune their souls to primal power to such an extent that they step outside of the bounds of most forms of magic. These barbarians become living dead spots in the magical firmament, voids that consume spells and turn them against their casters.

Spell Shield

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you exert a void around you that consumes spells. You and creatures of your choice within 30 feet of you gain a bonus on all saves against magical effects equal to your rage damage bonus.

Sunder the Weave

Beginning at 6th level, when you fail a saving throw against a magical effect, as a reaction you can enter your rage and automatically succeed the save. If you are already raging, you can expend a use of that ability to gain this benefit.

Adaptive Rage

Beginning at 10th level, you expand the types of damage you can resist when you rage. When you complete a long rest, pick a damage type. You gain resistance to that damage while raging until you complete your next long rest.

Spell Scourge

Starting at 14th level, your rage creates a nimbus of crackling energy around you that punishes anyone who attempts to affect you with magic. You gain the following benefit while raging. As a reaction when you make a saving throw against a magical effect or are the target of a magical attack, you cause the source of the attack or the effect that triggered the saving throw to take force damage equal to your level + your rage damage bonus.
