Happy almost-new year!! For this last J.U. track I wanted it to be a really good one, so I hope you enjoy this :-) I'd just like to take this opportunity now to say thanks so much to everyone here who's supported me here on Patreon in 2024!!! THANKS SO MUCH!!! Whether you've been a member since day 1 or you only joined last week, I value you and I can't wait to show you all the things I get up to next year! Now a bit of background information for this song...

So I made this in February of 2022, right around the time my second album Dw, I'm All Good came out. This song was originally supposed to kickstart my next album, but things never took off. Eventually, I ended up writing some different songs and these songs became my 3rd album, You Me Us Them. So the grey area of songs from the winter/spring of 2022 like this one were sort of left to collect dust.

But not any more!! This song deserves so much more credit, it's really one of a kind in terms of RJ songs. Nothing else I've ever made sounds anything like While I'm Down. It features the first (and so far only) use of autotune in an RJ song, towards the end, which I think works very well in this context! It was also the first song of mine to feature a bass solo (the only other song being Pills 4 The Pills). Anyway, I'll stop waffling and let you enjoy the song :-) I really hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
