new e drums! (+ vinyls?)

btw!!! i recently got an electronic drum kit, and it arrived last weekend, so since then ive been having a play around with it and its super fun :)

yeah, it looks just like a real one! more importantly, it FEELS like a real one to play. if you dont play drums you probably wouldnt know, but the problem with a lot of e drums is that the pads r made of rubber and dont really have the same bounce as normal drums, but these pads i have here are called mesh heads, and theyre a lot more realistic.

i can also connect these drums up to my computer and then play the realistic software drums i have (addictive drums 2) as if they were in front of me, which is so cool!!!!

for those of you who are dragon members and heard the song i posted yesterday, "sidewalk sandwich", the drums were done in this way! basically me playing the e drums, which triggered the drum sounds coming from my laptop, and then i just recorded that into my 4 track. the perfect blend of modern and vintage technology!
