OMG my heart is melting <3 And we finally get to see what's up with the thing on Maeryll's forehead that was hinted at all the way back in chapter 11! Man, one of the (many) things I love about your writing is how there are so many little details scattered around that don't make a lot of sense in the moment, but then 100 pages later you suddenly realize that they were critically important the whole time. It's all so layered that the more I dig into your works, the more rewarding they become: like when I figured out Jaq's thing in Bloodmajiq or when I pieced together the Mozarella Chandalier/Prince Divine connection. Now I'm just waiting for "the witch is dead, never to return" to show up again and blow my mind.
