Added 2017-12-10 20:45:00 +0000 UTCHey if you're a 1$ pledger mad about the new fee - which incidentally, doesn't increase the cost of a pledge, only who's paying that cost (you, instead of me) - and are planning on quitting over it, that's fine but just fyi, the Exit Surveys don't go to Patreon, they just go to me, so it's no use leaving an acerbic note, it will not be read by customer service.
Also if you're quitting to somehow stick it to the man, you're only sticking it to me (again, still fine, but let's be clear). If you want to know my thoughts on it you can check my Twitter where I've been raving. Otherwise not interested in discussing it - I think it's going to be awkward for exactly 1 cycle, and then everyone who's mad will have quit, new people won't care, and creators will be left with a much better deal.
Thanks for pledging everybody, as ever I'm super grateful and excited to be working on the comic! There are only three chapters left in the whole of Part One, which means I should be wrapping up the first tome *exactly* on schedule [cool guy emoji], around late January (my birthday). Then I'll take a couple months to:
1) flesh out certain sex scenes in the comic and re-do certain panels that make me wanna barf, to get it all pretty for PRINT
2) Get a line on a printer and set up the HOT HARDCOVER PRINT EDITION
3) Have a small crowdfunding campaign to cover the up-front printing costs (I think I'll need 5000-8000$). Essentially a pre-order, where a pledge of a certain amount just gets you the book once it's printed. I'll also think of some fun rewards like nice prints and signed copies and stuff, might ask you guys for ideas later.
That's all my housekeeping for now! I've got a pretty clear schedule this week so I'm thinking I can crank the next chapter (Slutface is back??) by next week.

If you *like* to spread it around to other creators that's great but it's not a built-in right of the platform, which exists to support creators financially. If you can't afford to do it, then you... can't afford to do it.

2017-12-10 21:08:44 +0000 UTCYeah, the Saga Deluxe ones are a bit bigger than "standard", or what used to be standard. Seems like oversized hardcovers are becoming more normal. Which is cool, the smaller hardcovers just always seemed weird. Absolute / Library Edition sized would be cool too, and I'd definitely go for that, but either way is awesome!
2017-12-10 21:05:57 +0000 UTC"which incidentally, doesn't increase the cost of a pledge, only who's paying that cost (you, instead of me)" No, it also changes thing to charge every single pledge individually, which means we patrons pay the fixed-cost part of the transaction fee (35c) on *every single pledge* - right now we pay it once per month and the cost gets spread out among all the creators. It's an extremely raw deal for people like me, who pledge a lot but like to spread it around to lots of people, as my costs will suddenly rise about 30% while your gains rise only 3-4% (and Patreon makes the same amount of money; it's the CC processor that pockets all the extra). Being dismissive about this isn't a good look.
