Chapter 16: So Elvish

The final chapter of this book is UP!! If you're new to my slightly confusing nomenclature, there's 3 books to a tome, so we've still quite a ways to go here in Moon's Landing...

I started posting this book a year ago almost to the day!  250+ pages in a year, that's not too bad. Thanks to everyone for reading so far and supporting me! I'm especially delighted to see more people picking up the wider story as it is slowly (so, so slowly) revealed. Book 7 alone is very nearly the length of the entirety of Tome One so I'm not sure where that's gonna put me in terms of a print edition. But we can worry about that when it's done.

Normally I'd take some kind of trip to clear my head and get ready for the next book, but that's not possible at the moment so I'll try and take a month or so off from drawing. Got some writing for Tome 4 to do, language studies, house fixin stuff... should be great.  I'll keep you posted. You can expect the new book to kick off sometime in October! We're gonna meet the BOYS.

Thanks for reading everybody <3

I assumed for some reason that cinder met maeryll after she got her eyes but it seems that isn't the case. Rereading a bit more, cinder does call maeryll a pirate sometimes so that does make sense.....

Zeta

the pirate stuff happens a good decade or so before the events of the comic. Maeryll's changed a lot. You'll see!

Love the nautical snippets. However I can't tell if it's how maeryll and cinder actually met or if it's just a sort of shared AU memory the both of them have. I went back to the end of tome 1 to reread cinders recollection of it and it seems to match the surreal theme that someone would "reminisce" about while high. It seems very OOC for Maeryll to deny being elvish (as she just used that tactic to seduce the receptionist). Perhaps the ambiguity is intentional? Either way, can't wait to get a physical copy of this part.

hehehe

Was rereading the Wizard's Sleeve chapter and I think I just spotted the Dragonhand in the background of page 111! I love detail you put into everything!

I'm fascinated by p219 panel 3. I'd love to see an RPG source book for this world you have in your head.

"But I took the pirate to pale plain" Should it say "to *the* pale plain"? Or "to *a* pale plain"? Or is it correct?

Jon
