Climbing the couch was a nearly impossible task for Sean, taking what seemed like an eternity to reach the armrest. The colossal presence of his giant friend, currently in a state of slumber, was a constant reminder of his own minuscule size. Sean knew the tranquility could shatter any moment, but the thought of his friend suddenly standing, casting a towering shadow over him during his ascent, was unnerving.
As Sean hoisted himself onto the next section of the couch, a subtle shift occurred. The armrest under him responded with a slight pressure, and an ominous shadow loomed behind him. Whirling around, Sean's eyes widened at the sight of the largest toes he had ever seen, inching over the edge of the armrest. It wasn't clear if Jim was stirring from his sleep or simply stretching, but the sight was startling.
"Jim!" Sean's voice echoed with urgency, "Please stop! I'm right here!"
His plea, however, was lost in the vastness, unheard by the slumbering Jim, who fell back into his deep sleep.
Caught between surprise and panic, Sean could do nothing but stand frozen, a silent prayer of gratitude on his lips that the encroaching toes had halted just short of reaching him.
