I Watch * Green Mile * First Time | Will NEVER WATCH THIS AGAIN .

I read the book in 2 days in before the movie came out in theaters. Unfortunately, I don't remember the book as I've seen the movie so many times since. I enjoyed watching the movie while you watched it for the first time and seeing your reactions. I was crying along with you as I always do no matter how many times I watch it.

Hi India.. Raymond here. First: Yes.. tbh. Its fun to see you cry. Sometimes.. Second: let me explain a few things.. 1: The "Carefull, Carefull" part from John to Paul.. John knew in a way.. who was to be brought in. 2: When Del sat in the Chair, John knew Percy was put up front to do the main job.. So he took most of Del's pain... thats why he was shaking so much. 3: When he saved Melinda (Hal's Wife) he did not spit the flies out, cos he knew he would give those to Percy. (After he saw what Wild Bill had done) To kill Wild Bill and messes up Percy's head at the same time (2 birds with one stone, basiclly) ❤❤❤ Raymond.

John Coffey, ie JC -- anyone else you know with those initials? And yiii, I adore this film. Delacroix deserved to be on death row, TL;DR; it delves into his crimes in the book, but tbh? I don't think it really matters in the context of this story. It does more to show the horror of the death penalty, even if they lawfully meet the requirements to be sentenced as such.

I have watched this movie several times... I've watched probably 30 reactions to this movie... IMO it's one of the most powerful and beautiful movies that I think everyone should have to watch. Too many Percy's and Wild Bills in the world... Far too many. And how many times I've cried right along with those reacting to it. And Yes... I cried right with you India. Seriously cried my eyes out. It's ok. A few times I've actually blubbered during the last bit there where he says "Roll on two"... and cracks in his voice as he does... and I just lose it sometimes. Managed not to blubber this time so we are good.

I actually watch this frequently BUT I skip several scenes and the biggest section is Dell's execution. I can't. I have probably seen this movie 50 times but have only watched that scene once and never again

Took me about 10 years before I could watch this movie again. It is both devastating and beautiful at the same time. It isn't an easy movie to watch, but I am so glad that I did. It is one of those movies that I think everyone should watch in their lifetime. And don't worry, most everyone will be crying with you while watching this.

I will say that this was also one of the ONLY movies where the book to script adaptation happened in one editing/writing process. As a writer I found that awe aspiring. That it was directly written from Stephen King's book, and King had a look at it and stated it was perfect the first time around.

he is 100 % up there. My other favorite is Robin Williams for serious moments, too, but Tom Hanks is indeed up there.

I really felt your reaction. I was in tears with you. When you said you wanted to hug him that was how I felt the whole movie when I watched this everytime. For me its not that I want to see you cry but that I want you to watch things that make you feel true emotion whether happy, sad, amused etc. That is what great movies and songs do, they make us feel. This movie reaffirms my stance that Tom Hanks is the best actor of all time.

viewing this as 100 % religious metaphors, I noticed something this time. When Melinda placed St. Christopher's necklace on him that was when he was able to cough out the stuff inside of him. And Saint Christopher is the patron saint for travelers, and gives luck.

and I don't hate a character in a movie as much as I hate Percy, and Wild Bill. I saw this in theaters, and one of the few times I had to leave with my friend during that horrific execution scene. Still gets to me. We came back, but yeah, we couldn't at first-still in high school then.

Natasha G

i can understand THAT, it's a movie worth watching at least once, I feel, and I do love it. It just takes a LOT out of you. And it IS dark

Natasha G

Such a powerful movie.
