My best friend is a marine. He’s seen stuff. His best friend died in his arms after he spent hours dragging him to the safe zone. Or whatever it’s actually called. I’m sorry. I’m a civilian. But he has never actually managed to finish telling me. That’s just what I’ve pieced together over the years. Cuz he only tells it in chunks and we are usually at a bar. I don’t think I could handle that kind of ptsd, ya know?
