I think he did because like India said, he made it all the way home. If his carotid artery was ruptured he'd bleed out in seconds, maybe it was just neck tissue hopefully and he's alive.

This is why I love Dexter so much, he takes out the trash and is in a unique position to make sure they're guilty and get away with it. I have a real softspot for 'lone man exacting revenge' films like John Wick, Beekeeper, Taken, Nobody etc. India you have to watch 'Reacher' it's such a good TV show.

The comment he made at the end “look you look like one of us like I made you” no he was always that person he had control and kept the animalistic thing at bay. It’s way harder to be a so called monster and contain to do a 9-5. Then be a free for all problem child. That’s my take away in a shell
